It's a 1% xp buff that stacks 3x so it's a 3% buff. You have to be outside to use it.

You also get 8x Student Fodder. It gave me ~4 bars of rest xp and it has a 30 min cd.

The whole quest line gave me a little more than 1/2 a level. Also got a 12-slot bag. Definitely worth doing the quest line imo.

Process to obtain (this is for Horde, so if you are Alliance, swap steps 1 and 2); I tried to offer some more details for those without coordinate addons:

1. (46, 74) - Find the charred body at the burning tower at the fork in the road in south barrens which leads to Dustwallow Marsh

2. (37, 50) - Another charred body in some exploded wood on the croplands at the Alexston Farmstead (Northwest of Deadmines if you follow the road)

----- STOP! Make sure you have done both steps. Both factions must get both notes from 1 and 2. -----

3. - Path starts at (50,50) - Head out of Sun Rock Retreat via the east exit and run up the road north a little bit to find a path; on the map, it's to the right of the "ROCK" lettering (Alliance, just run to this spot from however you get to Stonetalon, since you can't go into Sun Rock Retreat very peacefully). Follow this path for some time - you will know you're going the right way if you are walking across the word "ROCK" on the map. There is a camp eventually in a patch of green amongst the mountains.

4. Continuing into the camp, look for the box next to the tent with a red cross on it. Click the "Pocket Litter" item to turn in the quest and receive the next one.

5. Turn directly north and walk up the little mountain crevice to find a bunch of hills. You do not have to make the jump onto the first hill, there is a path that you can follow up to the mound of dirt if you miss (but don't fall all the way down!). Click the mound of dirt on the hill overlooking the ravine.

6. (49, 12) - I hope you're not tired of running through the Wetlands yet because here we are once more. Walk through a bunch of level 30 pvp guards to reach Loch Modan (via Dun Algaz) or north through a bunch of death from Kargath, then get ready to do it again in the next step after walking to the dam (which is in the center-north part of the Loch Modan map). Spend a moment remembering that Blizzard said they were going to stop making SoD miserable to get stuff as a Horde player.

7. You have to get up on the dam (if you don't mind doing a little swimming, I found the right-hand side of the dam had fewer guards to dodge) and walk along until you see a white outcropping of rocks off its north face. The outcropping has a bunch of stuff on it, can't miss it. One of the clickable items is an eagle statue. Click it and continue.

7(a). If you're going to jump off the dam to try and exit, make sure you will clear the bottom of it, because it's definitely possible not to. Ask me how I know!

8. (87, 49) - Walk to the Thoradin Wall (border to Arathi), but then once you reach it walk along it northward instead of crossing into the zone. You will see a busted cart. Parkour up the cart (the right-hand side worked best for my clumsy hooves) and then again up the wall. Head into the broken section of the wall to the... homeless encampment? inside.

9. Exit through to the other side and look at the doorway you just walked out of. There is a big 'ol note and a messenger bag here. Click the bag, then the note beneath it. Get your sleeping bag. Note: it's a 3 hour cooldown, so get your buff stacked all the way before you scoot! It's 1min/stack, so lie down on it for 3 minutes straight.

Lasts about 15 minutes and your whole party can sleep in it, even without doing the quest.

Cooldown is actually 2 hours and 45 minutes not 40 minutes.

Do not use bag. to the side of wall. Could not get buff. when character layed down was in other zone then stood up. could not find sweet spot since bag in between zones.

DON'T use this in an area where you COULD be ganked, especially not at the quest turnin area. You will lose your buff and get stuck with a 3 hour cooldown.

Do we know where we can use the sleeping bag? And/or if it has an error on its cooldown? It constantly says "You can't use that here" and doesn't allow me to use it anywhere, but maybe I messed up something and it's just not showing cooldown? Not sure

Since the last hotfix, the buff isn't lost upon death anymore.
Chronoboon Displacer doesn't suspend it.

Worth metion, that if you have some ~~@#$%Y EFFECT~~ debuff that not even deal damage to you (For exemple: lose 10 mana every 10 seconds), you will be unable to get buff, even if your character are sleeping.

Part 2 - Westfall (Part 1 for Alliance)

Part 3 - Stepping Stones - Stonetalon Mountains
-Find road North of Sun Rock Retreat, look to your left as you take main road up the hill while exiting the Webwinder Path area.
-Follow path to small encampment.
-Find Pocket Litter on crate next to tent.

Part 4 - Scramble - Stonetalon Mountains
-Head North over the ridge and down the hillside a short distance below.
-Find Mound of Dirt.

Part 5 - Wet Job - Loch Modan Dam
-Head to Loch Modan Dam at North end of Loch Modan.
-Jump off edge of Dam to land on a ledge above the large dwarf head fountains facing The Wetlands.
-Find Carved Figurine

Part 6 - Eagle's Fist - Thoradin's Wall
-At border of Hillsbrad Foothills and Arathi Highlands, head north to a broken portion of the wall.
-On the Hillsbrad side, climb an upturned cart to get on top of the wall.
-Climb further up wall and through the hallway.
-Find Messenger Bag at end of hallway, just outside the doorway leaning on the wall.
-Pick up Quest: This Must Be The Place
-Find Hastily Rolled Up Satchel at your feet.

Just a side note, you do NOT have to stand up and lay back down for every stack, it just takes one minute per. Lay down and go grab ya a coffee!

Just had to say it was a lot of walking but did it with the BFD Buff and that helped. I started at level 18 (a couple bars below 19) and got over a level so dinged 20 at the very end. plus since i couldn't use a number of the items i sold off and gained over 2 1/2 gold

How to obtain & 8 Ração de Estudante:

1. 1. Travel to 46, 73 in Sertões
Here interact with Restos Queimados and accept the quest.

2. Travel to 37, 50 in Cerro Oeste
Interact with Tábua com Pregos

3. Travel to 51, 51 in Cordilheira das Torres de Pedra
From the road follow the opening into the mountains, and follow the path until you reach the camp
At the camp interact with Lixo de Bolso
Run through the camp and jump down the mountains to reach the ledge with Monturo de Terra that you have to interact with

4. Travel to Dam at 49, 12 in Loch Modan
Jump down to the ledge and interact with Estatueta Entalhada

5. Travel to 81, 56 in Contraforte de Eira dos Montes
While facing the gate toward Planalto Arathi turn left and follow the wall until you reach the fallen cart
Follow the little jumping puzzle toward the camp
Interact with Bolsa de Mensageiro then interact with Algibeira Enrolada às Pressas

It's pretty annoying that the devs have zero respect for horde players time. As alliance once you have the Booty Bay FP you can very easily get to the Barrens. While it is a pain for horde to get to places like Westfall, Redridge, and Duskwood.

Noticed that as of yesterday (February 12th, 2024) you do not lose the 3% buff if you die, whether it is by PvE or PvP means. It wasn't mentioned in the hotfixes they made yesterday in their log, but it helps.

Also, if you log off longer than 3 hours, the buff also doesn't disappear, but you will need to remove the buff (right-click) to refresh the duration.

Does anybody know what the limit is on this? Can you have a whole raid group in one bag somehow, or is it capped at a 5 for a party?

Tried sharing it with alt, but it despawns when you log off so you can't.

I have been testing something strange at level 40.

I used the sleeping bag for the 3% xp buff, and by the time I had used enough mats to go from what should of been 136 - 175, I was 190 instead.

I was also able to get to 215 I needed without having to buy the last massive batch of 100 mithril bars, saving me so much money as I only need 215 for now to get the goggles.

This appears to actually apply a huge benefit to profession XP.

Please correct me if I am wrong?

each quest rewards 3150 XP, ecxept scramble that gives 320 xp (its next to it in stonetalon mountains, so 10 secs walk). did it with two chars, one was lvl 27, other lvl 31, result was same. 3150 for each quest on this chain. gl and hf all who gets it or is on the way to obtain it!

The buff ticks once every 60 sec when you are in the , so 3 mins for the full 3% XP bonus.

The lasts 20 minutes if the character who used it does not log out or leave the immediate area, such as zoning into/out of an instance.
The cooldown on using the is 2hrs 40mins.
Only party and raid members may share a character's .

Characters will gain the Well-Rested buff per minute sleeping in the bag, stacking up to 3 times for a total of +3%.
Sleeping in the with an existing Well-Rested buff will renew the buff duration and add additional stacks up to 3 stacks.
The Well-Rested buff lasts 2 hours and persists through death.

While sleeping in the , the character will gain rested experience as if being in a rested zone, such as a city or inn.
Logging out while sleeping in the will cause an immediate logout, as if logging out in a rested zone.

Just tested the theory and it worked! Your sleeping bag counts as an inn if you logout while sleeping in it. Priest got 1 full bub of rested inside the bag, warlock outside the bag only got like 1/10th of a bub. 😄
No more having to hearth back to an inn for the rested XD

My toon is lvl 40 and does not have the sleeping bag. I ran her to all of the locations, at the same time I did it on a lowbie, and nothing was clickable. Why would this be? Anyone have the link to check if I've done this quest?
