Not as rare as the droprates show, I've seen quite a few of these on the AH, better than Bow of Searing Arrows imo (with the 14 RAP it's a total of 29.2 DPS)

the chest respawns fast, its just north of booty bay near the first bloodsail buccaneers. Only sold for 35G @ new server though

yes, but the questions is what did it drop from for you two? Nobody ever says where their feelow hunters can get these items, it's a real shame....

Edit: and I'd just like to point out the alla's loot list with mobs is usually crap. Before someone flames me like "read teh mobs!" I know the are there, but they are crap. I want to know where someone who has it specifically got it.

I've killed enough mobs off these loot lists that statistically I should have gotten this gun about 10 times....

its a world drop right i was trying 2 get it from that 1 cebtuar but where does it commonly drop somebody said it that he got it in a chest by the bloodsail guys

I paid for mine :( 10g at the AH. I always just assumed the Mob lists here were what ppl had reported. So just because it dropped the item once, dosnt mean it will again IMO. Ive looted a few blues in my soloing days. the ones i checked here all had the mob i got it from in the list somewhere.

For a hunter, I don't really see the need to worry about this gun. It's +14 attack power rather than Ranged attack power. So, even though it's a green and 2 less DPS, just have a Eng buddy make you a Mithril Heavy Bore rifle which gives you the exact same +14 but to Ranged.

I have had one for 5 levels and don't plan on switching until my 50s, most likely.

That is unless the Precisly Calibrated Boomstick drops again for me :)

I got this nice gun on my own. Looted off a Steeljaw Snapper on the beach near Steamwheedle Port as stated above. I was also gathering turtle scales. I am at the same location all the time. This is the best drop I have had. Not sure what I am going to with it yet.

I would like to buy this gun on the server Malygos Alliance side. I am willing to either pay 20g or give a good blue item for it. Also, i will pay 23g if it has a +7 dmg scope on it! COD it to Magiinome or PST me on any of my alts:

I got this from a Steeljaw Snapper on the beach near Steamwheedle Port, was farming for turtle scales for my Wild Leather quests. Gave it to a guildie who needed an upgrade, no charge :)

Even if im a warrior I still love using guns and thats a gun i really would like to get and i bet i would keep it for the rest of the game because it looks sweet they should make it for 3 uses as a axe too :) and warriors and hunters would love this gun untill dwarven hand cannon

i got one of one of those water bandits in tanaris.. xp grinding ftw! i already have swiftwind (crossbow with +7 agi) so im not sure if im going to use it yet...

just to annoy you all i'm a rogue XD (ACTUALLY a very spoiled rogue alt of a 60 mage)

i got 2 blues in 2 days.. now why cant the enxt be a blazing emblem eh?

I have this on my dwarf hunter. (lvl 38 as we speak)
Great weapon imo, Get white dmg crits up to 420.

Highest aimed shot so far is 880 ^^ Can probably egt higher too...

If you find it on AH, and have the money for it, i suggest you get it.

Next gun in line is Galganns fireblaster // Precisely calibrated boomstick. ;)

This gun is amazing. Got it fairly cheap (16 gold) from a guild mate. It tears enemies to shreds. Nothing can keep hate off of me, ever. Usually it will kill whatever is in my way before it gets to me, so I can go very quickly (only have to rest for mana) But Wow. just wow

i just got this gun, and put the +5 scope on it. my biggest Crit ever was today, just under 1k dmg with 1 bullet, with an Aimed shot. not bad for lvl 37 hunter.

as said above, wow, just wow.

I just got this off of one of the woodpaws that attacks you when you're doing the OOX-22/FE escort mission. I think the blues and definitely the epics drop totally at random. They don't want you to be able to farm epics, so they're not going to put them on the same mobs all the time. Probably the same with blues that aren't boss or quest rewards.

So yeah.. you're probably not going to find items like this on the same mobs and therefore the Alla and Thottbot data is going to be misleading, BUT.. if it isn't totally random, then the data might start to show what regions it's particular to.

I mean, it's almost definite (is definite?) that you're not going to find one of these guns in a level 10 area. So that should narrow down your pottential farming areas to only 1/2 of the known world :)

I had The Silencer, and after a fortunate trade on the AH, I had the Gold to buy The Bow of Searing Arrows

Compare The Bow of Searing Arrows
25 DPS Weapon Speed 2.7
to
The Silencer
22.3 DPS +14AP and a weapon speed of 2.8
Not sure what to make of , so let's set it aside for our calculation for now.
Since
14 AP = 1 DPS
Damage = DPS x Weapon Speed
The Silencer Damage = 62.44
Bow of Searing Arrows = 67.5 (without Searing Arrow Fire Damage)

Slower speed = less ammo
Bow sound is easier on the ears than the gun bang.
Calculations do not include the Searing Arrow Damage.

So I bought the Bow and equipped it with a +7 scope.

Addendum: The Searing Arrow extra damage procs quite often, 2 or 3 times on a single mob. This bow is really a beast!
