It all looks garbage anyway, there's a reason it took months for people to realise they were going away.People who want the appearances because of the appearance and not the new "exclusivity" would already have them.
Inb4 the tints are moved to a "reward" for new content, though I'm hoping they actually just have the other tints/appearances unlock after using the base item, tie it to the new armour upgrade item or add other recipes to craft the rest.
Are you kidding me...? Let's just hope this is some sort of bug/oversight and they will fix it. I hate to think so many good looking transmogs would simply be removed from the game.
An easy fix would be: crafting the original gear gives you all the tints.
If it is the item level squish that is making these an issue, then here's hoping they make them just directly craftable for slightly more resources or just craftable as transmog items. I really want those shields.
Thanks for the limited notice. Whatever Blizzard.
Is Perculia just not paying attention anymore? They have added the "optional reagent" box to all Draenor crafted gear that lets you put in the item that increases its ilvl.I just checked with my tailor, and it's there. I don't have the reagents to test crafting a Hexweave Robe, but my expectation is that crafting one with the ilvl increase reagent will give the higher level tint version.
Better fix this blizzard, since professions shouldn’t change from patch to patch only get updated, why change it, maybe you don’t want to write the code so you should be out of a job.
Some tips for those panicking. When I heard about this from the economy post earlier, I went into action and was able to get it done fairly quickly. I was fortunate that I had 10 toons with rank 3 garrisons but only 2 had barns and I had no savage blood. I quickly put barns in the other 8 and filled them up with work orders. I had to get naked to actually capture beasts as my 120s all one shot them so watch out. You want elite wolves and clefthoofs from nagrand and you want a follower on the barn to increase output. You can also buy scrolls to finish barn work orders immediately from the garrison vendor for 1000 resources each and the mission table sometimes offers missions that grant scrolls for the crafting huts as well so if you can farm resources quickly you can vastly increase your production.I also fortunately had profession crafting huts for all the needed professions so I was able to start leather, cloth, ink, and truesteel work orders right away but if you have none, focus on farming out the ore, plants, fur, and hide as well as Primal Spirits to bypass the daily cooldown with the spiritual crafting. You can get a TON of Primal Spirits from Tanaan Jungle rares and the throne of Kil'jaeden area, just kill every elite you see and you can get hundreds in a few hours. Keep checking the AH every few hours to see if anyone has posted fur, hide, ore, plants, essences, sorcerous earth, sorcerous water, savage blood, or finished gear pieces that can save you a ton of time. My toons were all on a dead server but I was still able to find nearly half the savage blood I needed on the AH as well as a few of the gear pieces. I found that it helped making a spreadsheet of the materials I already had and the total I needed to calculate out farming numbers.Good luck!
really hoping they do something like make the recolors available in your transmog collection just from equipping the rank 1 item, or somethign similar. this is awful, especially since its so time gated you couldnt even hope to get them all done between now and the patch :/
why?
Yee I don't have the time nor the gold to deal with that rightnow... So that's a giant piss off. This better be an oversight otherwise I'll be damn well pissed they didn't mention this a while back.I don't look at the recaps, I always assumed they regurgitated information I already knew.... Because that's usually what a recap is.
some apologist will certainly come with an explanation on why this is a fantastic change by Blizzard because obviously they can never be wrong.
It's literally impossible to make it all now from scratch, they didn't give anywhere near enough notice.
Blizzard please fix this! It's okay to remove items so that they remain prestigious, but this is NOT the case here. Don't remove them just because of laziness or oversight...
