Anyone who thought pre-patch was happening on the 29th was deluding themselves. The two-week warning post (yes, it counts as the two-week warning post even though there isn't an actual release date in it) only happened on Monday this week. And, by all accounts the pre-patch only has two weeks of "content" so a three-week pre-patch cycle isn't unexpected. And, unless they hit some game-breaking wall of bugs, there's no way SL gets delayed a month before release. The only xpac that was delayed was BC, and Blizzard never gave a definitive date for its release, only "winter." Plus, that was 14 years ago and every xpac since has hit its announced release date.
I always look forward to the pre-expansion patches and hate it when they are so short. If this is like the WOTLK or Legion, they really should have gave us 5-6 weeks of it, not 2 or maybe 3.
i vaguely remember a speech about releasing content faster than they used to.
There is a lot bugs, for me most noticeable, night elves lost purple color hair,...

Well with any luck, hopefully Shadowlands not until sometime in 2021...
Frankly, I wouldn't mind if they pushed release to Christmas if it means that all the issues people are talking about are addressed. Let them at least try to avert a cluster@#&% in peace.
I would have been fine if they delayed awhile ago or had a later date. But now it's mildly infuriating having next to nothing to do and waiting for a potential delay.
I had been thinking it was gonna be the 6th, and it seems that's where we are heading.
They should delay shadowlands to be honest. It feels unfinished and they haven't even say prepatch's date. Is this going to be another BfA/reforged? Blizzard launching half cooked games because of Activision pressure.
People actually saying they won't be surprised if launch gets pushed have zero idea how business works. Launch is set in stone. Prepatch has always looked like oct 6/7 unless people are naive enough to think they'd launch it in the middle of brewfest. I get that we all want it to get here asap ... but everything looks as normal as ever. They've reverted release candidates many times before.
LET THEM PUSH IT BACK AS FAR AS THEY NEED.It's better for the game in the long run that we have a good release.
