Palas having no utility is the ultimate troll.
To note something critical: DK is as useful as a disc priest to hpal, as a dk to a warrior.Niche effectiveness that requires you to stand in a certain spot, as opposed to something that does the exact same and also isnt restrictive to only magic damage...AMZ was nerfed too hard. Should be 30% at least to compete with stuff like shout
"it's difficult to imagine it ever being correct to be missing any of these buffs."Tell that to raid groups that can't find Mages, Demon Hunters, or Monks. What are we supposed to do, force people to reroll into classes to benefit the rest of the raid? That's incredibly stupid.Blizzard needs to give the various buffs and debuffs to different classes. Druids could easily do the 5% damage taken in Guardian or Feral, and the 5% Magic damage in Balance and Resto. The Intellect buff could be covered by a multitude of classes - have it be on a Warlock or Hunter pet, for example - the same with the Stamina and Attack power buffs. It was perfect in Wrath when Hunter pets could cover a lot of holes in your roster.
Yay lets make m+ groups more meta, mage, mage, mage, so you want to push my high key with a shaman ? no ty i prefer a mage with 5% and BL
I like this personally. The idea of some classes having their own utilities is fun and interest for me. But, this likely is because I am not a key pusher or a mythic raider, who just creates and joins guild groups for the most part. I am fine with these utilities because I know that it won’t really affect my place in a raid or m+. However, that is not the case for others, those who are in guilds that look only for the best performance. And for those players, I simply offer this: find yourself a good community of people who let you play the way you want to play like me, or play a different game. Because if you aren’t enjoying what you’re doing, what is the point?
I don't understand why people would ever champion the idea of "bring the class not the player" I'm also not thrilled at the nerf to engineering's advantages.
Disagree about potions nerf. This just sets themselves up in having to make better potions later on, then nerf them once more. If people want to use Lightfoot pots, then let them.
"...Hunters that otherwise don't bring much to the table."immunity, cc, FD, pets, BL, ranged, cast while moving, good AoE dps, good ST dpsPoor Hunters ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I like the change, it makes the classes with buffs more useful. They could get rid of drums entirely IMO.
These movement potion changes are the reason why Im gonna say goodbye forever to Throne of Thunder, Icecrown Citadel, Ulduar and (especially) Siege of Orgrimmar. Also the reason why Im not gonna farm as many herbs as I used to. Blizzard really needs to revert this and make the new shadowlands speed pots back to 150%
Lol @ all the baddies who think wow will now be an "RPG" and that now they'll personally be taken for their class rather than their skill in some sort of fantasy affirmative action.Reality is this isn't that big a deal or the end of the world, but it will actually have the worst impact on the baddies. (Who is going to want to take an extra DH unless his numbers are amazing?)A simple solution? Obviously we could delete these stupid class buffs that have frankly been bad design since day 1.A less extreme solution? Give every class access to 1 of 3 of these "utility" buffs. Basically just an extra talent row for your group buff. Very simple, very inclusive, pretty flexible.
As if anyone is going to bring a DK over a lock. Lock has been meta for years and it's getting boring.
The changes to drums and Engi rez really bother me. This makes bringing a lust class to your group near mandatory for M+, same for a brez. This makes group composition very difficult when you only have 5 slots. I really, really do not like the idea of being forced to bring a class or spec just because of a buff. Picking a group should be about selecting good players, with buffs being a minor bonus (like healthstones), not feeling like you are forced to take someone just for a very powerful buff they provide.
Finally, this removes the stigma from Paladins to be the "utility class", since they have nothing to bring to the party, aside from a blessing or LoH each x minutes.
