The damage per player in Mythic raids is not 5%, it is more 5-10% per DPS player with tanks sitting at around 3-4% and healers being around 1% or less. This brings down the overall advantage of bringing a DH a bit (assuming 50% damage as magic then you would be seeing roughly an extra 1/3rd of a DPS player worth from the buff) but doesn't really change the overall argument. In my opinion the 5% magical and physical damage buffs should not exist, they just make it a requirement to bring those particular classes unless the class is so unbalanced that an extra 5% physical/magical damage isn't enough of a benefit to have them. It gets even worse if you think about it because it may force DH and monks to play tanks or healers only so that the raid setup isn't too inconvenienced if the DH/monk DPS specs are below average and god forbid if DH/monk tanks and/or monk healers are below average...What they need to do is to make it so that you as a raid leader are not sitting there going "we need to have a monk for the 5% physical damage boost" but to make it so you are sitting there going "ok, it would be nice to have a monk for the buff/raid utility that they bring but it isn't going to put us at a disadvantage if we don't have one". Basically every class needs raid utility but it also needs to be a "nice to have" rather than a "required to have".As for the potion changes, well, it isn't too big of a deal to me. I will play around it no matter what they do to it. I just hope that they don't make taking a potion at the right time a boss mechanic...
Changes to old potions and ludicrous cooldown are just beyond idiotic. Sorry, just no. Artificial scarcity is not impactful, it is just punishing for no reason and also just takes fun aspects out of the game.
Control + F, paladin. Nothing? Oof really shows the state of a class when dk, someone with brez gets a raid cd and ret pala is..
These are all good changes. Thanks blizzard. Finally leaning back in the direction the game deserves. Hypeeee for shadowlands it's gonna be great!
When it comes to M+ Power Infusion adds up to be pretty big through the course of a dungeon. Having a 2min CD that gives 25% haste for 20sec and that be rotated on players that have their CD's is significant. With the lego, it allows for a simultaneous throughput CD for the priest as well.2 heros in a 30min dungeon = 80sec of 30% haste on 5 people. PI in a 30min dungeon = 300sec of 25% haste on 2 peopleThis is massive, and as a resto druid I want it - being able to buff my group that much is extremely tempting.
so they should give rogues and paladins something really needed in raids now , just like other classes
Bring the player, not the class feels so far away now. Of course, we don't want fully homogenized classes either but so few classes providing so many important buffs and it's not exactly right, especially if you add the covenant dungeon bonuses too. The exclusion will be an all-time high during this expansion and when they announce the next one they will say they learned their lesson, they will give these utilities to more classes to encourage bringing the player, not the class. We are going in circles for a while now.
I kind of hate class buffs. They serve to make you stronger in a group but the reality is this weird comp @#$%. I’d rather they just bake in the power baseline or just remove it altogether. I miss bring the player not the class.
