Yeeea, finally Demon Hunter is on an even playing field for arena at least. They still basically have an answer to every problem you throw at them, but at least they're all more even, and not a really powerful answer to every situation.Overall, good changes for the whole game
Everything a dh can do is what makes the game more fun in my opinion. Love the double jump glide and speed. Makes all other classes feel like boulders.
really hope they make some big changes to havoc. old demolock died so that havoc could exist but is unfortunately way less cool. im fine with havoc being an easy spec to play but can they at least make them a little more interesting?
Good, reading this made me happy. It's about time, they've had it coming for a long while now.
Great article, just because the systems in place have helped havoc feel like half a spec. The spec shouldnt need to rely on systems to feel like half a spec. Talents and toolkit should make a class feel like a real class. Sadly havoc has suffered from being a boring, sad spec, but people who read this or just come to comment without reading will just come to say that we deserve feeling like a bad spec just because the systems in the game and the way they interact with Demon Hunters give them damage, when that has nothing to do with what the article is about. This is about discussing the issues with the spec as a whole. Damage numbers can be changed easy fixed. Core kit and playability and how a spec feels is what we are discussing here.
the haste nerfs are a bit too much.
I am very much okay with this
"Strip a Havoc DH naked, no talent, no systems, just the spells in your spell book. The single target rotation is basically, Build fury with Demon's Bite Press Eye Beam and Immolation Aura on cooldown Spend fury with Chaos Strike " Isn't this the same rotation since Legion?I can see dh mains complaining when they actually have to play the game.
So if you dont like playing vs havocs or just dont like that class it should be nerfed? Thats fun guys... This spec has issues and some of you are happy about that and i dont know why
I'd really prefer to see the Darkglare Medallion legendary effect change to something more like Raddon's Cascading Eyes instead. While it may be weaker long term, the predictability of it would make it much easier to play around.Losing the haste from Furious Gaze is going to be absolutely brutal for the feel of the class. That massive influx of haste after an Eye Beam just makes the class feel so much smoother than it actually is, which I'm reminded of every time I want to level a new DH alt or play one without that trait; the class was built entirely around borrowed power during Legion and that continued into BfA which makes me worry for next expansion.

The absolute state of the wowhead comments section. And all of this vitriol over a post about the mechanical design of a spec smh.Anyway
Great post by Kib,Some complete idiots in comment section not reading it, just say "hAvOc nErF, gOoD" Without understanding that, Havoc as a spec in high end raiding has relied heavily on borrow powers and systems.A spec can do well numerically but be extremely bad mechanically, That is the point of the article if you bothered to read it. Filled with Dead talents, Laughable ledgedarys and a Developer that thinks the "core kit" is fine.
Like i said in countless threads: simple =/= fun and engaging. I dont want to be OP, i want to be fun.
Yeah I am officially done with DH I envisioned this class being so much more when I was a kid playing this game in the early days. It's boring it's pathetic its lazy game design its all around garbage. Imagine taking away Metamorphosis from Demo locks one of my other mains back then taking it away and giving it to DH then imagine the old meta the one that actually made you feel POWERFUL like a GOD and now imagine meta being BORING and do nothing but make you spam the same buttons faster.imagine if meta actually did something to make you feel strong and improve your gameplay not mashing the same buttons faster.
