This was what I proposed, higher risk (pulling quicker and without CDs) equals a higher reward. I really enjoy optimizing my solo gameplay (for example in Visions, completing 5-mask runs as efficiently with as few pulls as possibe, figuring out what to pull together and what to pull separately etc) so this is a change that will reward exactly that gameplay. However I feel if the bonus loot for doing it quickly is used for anything other than cosmetics, doubling it is too high and will still feel too much as being punished for the players who like to take their time. Rather make it 25% or 30% extra, that seems way more forgiving if you don't want to minmax every single pull. A welcome change apart from the value it gives you! If they now listen to Mistweaver feedback aswell this will probably become a great expansion for me.
Seems the chest is only a leftover from a previous design concept they already ditched.https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/feedback-torghast-tower-of-the-damned/498548/280Also, Twisted Corridors is apparently the endless mode now.
Yep, Blizz just confirmed that "bonus for fast completion" isn't intended.
Thank the Old Go... I mean Blizzard. This change makes me want to play Torghast so much more. <3
Correct- it's BONUS loot for speed. No punishment for going slow. So players can take their time without any negative consequences.
There's a difference between getting rewards taken away for going too slow and getting additional rewards for going fast.Right now there's a base level of loot. Today, in M+, this can be seen as 3 pieces of loot. If you go too slow in M+ - that base drops down to 2 pieces of loot (punishment). But in the tower, there is no punishment, you'll always get the base level loot for completing regardless of how slow it took to complete.
Hallelujah a much better comprise for players who want to go as fast as possible vs taking their time.
The bonus loot bit was a datamining remnant, read the red text guys. So no incentive to go fast at all currently
Well this is for sure better, thanks for listening to us.
So if its supposed to be a roguelike...How do we reset the effects of a Breath of Coldheart run?
Why not just remove Torments? Do we really need them? Or do the developers need them so much?
While I'm a more casual type, I wouldn't mind then tossing in a small bonus for those who do it quickly. But TWICE as much? That will indeed push the mentality of "Must Go Fast". Even if its not required, it will create that mindset. Because you can only get so many keys and you'll want to maximize the benefits of each key.I feel 20% more of the "Dust" would be the sweet spot for finishing promptly. That way the push is still there, but its not like "doing it fast doubles your progress."Yes, I know they removed that, but I wouldn't mind them putting it back in. I see nothing wrong with rewarding people who can do it faster, which probably means they've got more skill.
