"Renouncing the savagery of the other tribes, you and your fellow Darkspear trolls protect Azeroth with cunning ferocity."Nah, still savage mon. We just don't eat people or practice the darkest types of voodoo anymore.
I may not have been right about forsaken queen Calia (at least not yet).I may not have been right about the seemingly inevitable faction mechanical change. But I did also tell y'all that they were re-casting any and all "villainous" races as equally heroic... which fed the other two predictions! The whole point of Sylvanas' BFA arc (shared with Saurfang) was to get "the problematic racial leader" away from her designated race and away from a role of representing player characters intended to be heroic.Your characters are the heroes. Every last one of them. They are not villains. That is canon.
oh no no no no
I think these would be fine if they actually reflected the story, but they don't (granted, the Forsaken one is pretty over the top). Players have asked Blizzard to write the Horde as non-villains, but it's the only way Blizzard seems to be willing to write them.So to have descriptions that describe them as heroic is kind of a slap in the face at this point, or it's just straight up lying to new players. If this is what they want the Horde to be, they need to actually write them this way and stop making the Horde into villains for quest fodder. And no, it's not good enough to say that this reflects the "future writing" because the last decade reflects something completely different *despite* very vocal protests against it. If they want to write the Horde as heroic, they need to *SHOW* not *TELL*.
This is just Alliance with different races. The Horde is dead.
Forsaken protect the living... wow... that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
It's a shame we didn't finish the job and couldn't put "Your predecessors wiped out tree hippies, now it's up to you to remove the rest of treacherous alliance trash from the face of your beautiful planet."
"Shed your thirsty ways."LOLI hope they meant bloodthirsty.
I should start by saying that I hate revisionist history....I should probably end there, as wellAs much as I support the factions coming together to work for the betterment of Azeroth, ignoring the entirety of the history that MADE the factions is not the way to go. This makes no sense whatsoever, especially if new players are going to be shoehorned into BfA which was nothing BUT the opposite of "protecting the humans"; and, indeed, was the outcome of all the years of hatred, and mistrust. Is there another April 1 supposed to be coming?
People complaining about the undead one, you're aware the other races of the Horde are alive right? :p
Well, seems like it's about the time to protect the living!
I much prefer the older ones. Cata lines already watered them down enough. Vanilla intros were so full of life and personality. Look at the troll one for example:vanilla
some of yall dont know putress was on team with varimathras ((BAD GUY!)) and it shows
Man, you people in the comments really haven't read into what recent events meant, have you?I think these new lines represent very nicely what the new Horde really would strive for currently, without following a WARchief. They have been used and betrayed, suffered heavy losses on all fronts. It is obvious they no longer are the same Horde as before. In the words that a now deceased warchief once said to a notorious warlock: Times change.
