Yo! Are those red eyes?
I don’t know about the sliders. I like having numbers so I can create/recreate very specific looks across servers or doing a race change.
With the runaway success that was Allied Races I was wondering how they were going to handle future AR's in the character select screen, this is a cool choice.
I guess now you choose faction when you create a pandaren? And they get the same starting island as everyone else
I think streamlining all the races on the same page is a good thing! Makes it easier to navigate! Not to mention this new UI leaves more room for new additions to the roster that the old UI didn't have (both class-wise AND race-wise)
I think this layout could potentially introduce even more types of character customization, whether it's height, weight, muscles etc.I wouldn't hold my breath and count my chickens on this, but should Blizzard want to move forward with this idea, they have this system set up.
Oh, I'm so excited. I just can't hide it
I like the race/class screen a lot. I do not like the sliders. I enjoy seeing my hair/skin etc selection vs the other options. I would actually prefer that be extended to two rows so I can compare/contrast even more. Would be great if I could make two selections and get a side by side. I hope they improve the barber shop too it's pretty horrendous to use. Also remove all restrictions for Allied Races and allow new players to create them at level 1! Let veteran players create any character at level 10 if they choose!
So if you click one of the classes, does that "dim" the races that can't be that class?
More UI changes please. More quality of life changes, especially related to item count tracking and storage.
Kind of basic and boring.
This screams console port all over it.
I don't like the sliders. I like being able to see all the options in the box-wheel on the right. Also, I miss the banners. This layout looks so empty and elvui-ish. I would assume, too, that some kind of descriptive text boxes describing the races and classes are still in progress.I'm just kind of lost as to what was so broken about the old character creation screen. With everything that needs addressed and updated in the actual game (group finder window, profession tab, tooltips, etc.), I'm not sure the time spent on this was a worthwhile trade-off.
Why not use a color wheel for hair, skin, eye and tattoo colors? It would give a more unique depth to the character customization. Of course, there would have to be restrictions for the skin color wheel, just for the sake of lore. But it would be better to have 100 shades of blue for a Draenei instead of just 10. Making your character feel more unique to you. less of this carbon copy/glitch in the matrix stuff we are currently seeing. (Transmog only helps so much).
Honestly i dont like anything about it ... :(Buttons and sliders are incredibly small, i dont see any indication that will help player to find "the one" option when they want to see them all. (There is some kind of prev in current character creation.) I see so much wasted space, i dont see any reason for spliting "head" "hair" and "earings" to different groups, since they all are just head customisation, since they all will fit there twice. :-/Also no options for eyes, tatoos, etc. ... i really hope this isnt finished ... but also, it kinda worries me about how long will we have to wait, if Shadowlands is in that state ... and we shall not get another content. -_-
It just clued into me. This UI, this screen basically confirms consoles. Everything is flat and laid out without any sub menus, easy to access slides.Yeah, this is definitely for consoles. Oh boy.
