Just more Rent-a-Power / Rent-a-System design philosophy.
Oh sweet Jesus, this is looking messy as it stands at the moment. It is like the Artifact Weapon + Netherlight Crucible + Relics all compounded in to one system. And they say they want to end the heavy simcraft culture. This is not the way to do it.
There's zero chance Blizzard manages to balance this.
Looks like a roguelike thing almost. I'm into it.
It's like the system in argus crucible of something I think I forgot what is called with the relic, so yah it will suck too many systems I think covenant alone is enough.Sorry for my bad English
This whole system is going to be such a mess. Balance and blizzard don't go together at all it never will get balanced ever! Look at the essence, talent and azerite system. If 6 months down the line the guild needs a healer and i was DPS but could swap... Those set choices i made 6 months ago are going to feel super bad. This is not even about the "1% of players" the requirements of what is best trickles down to all content even where it doesn't matter. Every fight, or bit of content other than the one you chose to spec into is going to feel bad and sub-optimal it will be super frustrating. Make this stuff only work in the open world, not in raid/m+/rated instanced pvp. The vast Marjory of players probably wont push buttons in right order or utilise this stuff anyway, or even bother to do higher content where they even matter no need for it to work in that content! Let them have the buttons so it feels like a choice, let them work in the open world so they feel like the choice they made matters. Heck let them work in the tower, heroic, mythic 0 also this is the content they will be doing. But for the love of god.. like PVP talents currently don't let them work inside a raid or mythic+. This is a compromise what will not gimp the "1%", but at the same time allow the casual (apparently majority) still feel like they made a choice and use that choice in the content they are doing (the low stuff, it doesn't matter). Its a win win compromise for everyone. Even blizzard who clearly put all the eggs they have into one basket here. Lets not have another Legion legendary, BFA azerite situation. This stinks of the same stuff casual vs 1%.. It always ends the same turning those players away, and patching in band aids every now and then until finally saying sorry and giving in.
i mean if you dont understand these simple traits its not the game's fault bro
This looks like a lot of fun to play around with. Can't wait to see more closer to release; I love the concept!
I am a Guy who play the game only with random groups and I've cleared all hc raids, m+ 15s and higher and I never had real issues getting into groups so I will choose Maldraxxus no matter what skills or soulbinds my warrior will get :)
Man, those new systems are pissing me off as i always automatically min-max, but if they introduce covenant abilities and each will have diffirent soulbinds i actually may pick something just for the aestethics
People: Give us options, everything is the same.Blizzard: Here are a bazillion options.People: Too complex.I hope the possibility exists that there are many viable combinations to choose from that not only make/keep your toon competitive, but give you many different play styles and even roles for specific content. I am in favour of the try/use more rather than everyone do the exact same build.Hopefully it works out that way.Edit: fixed typos... still waking up.
