Tbh I'd rather not have "legendary cloak or no invite" raid encounter. This is a good change. Cloak is still a BIS item but not to the point "can't do the raid if you don't have it". Because if it worked, be sure the boss would be tuned around people having it, I still remember the Helya and Star Augur design where Blizzard admitted they were balanced around people having 35 and 54 traits in Legion artifacts respectively, which meant your progress was artificially gated by grinding instead of perfecting your strat and learning the encounter.
This feels so convoluted, what's the expectation? That people just hold onto a ton of corrupted gear specifically for the last 2 encounters in the raid, but can't use most of them for the rest of the raid?
Is the main stat proc still there :O
Who says we're not going to have Visions of N'zoth as part of the N'zoth encounters?
It's very weird to me that this expression "mandatory content" is being used everywhere as if it's a horrible thing. I guess people nowadays want to walk into a raid without playing the rest of the game? I guess I'm glad for these changes because if it makes people happy and log in to play then that's a win for guilds and the game but it seems weird to me that "forcing people to play the game" is such a problem.
English is not my native language, so I'm not sure of what I will say, but isn't Visions of N'Zoth the name of the 8.3 patch, and so, the effect will works only for sanity effects in this patch, and not, I don't now, those on Yogg Saron in Ulduar for example ? And will work for the raid, so.I'm not sure if Visions of N'Zoth are just Horrific visions or all the 8.3 patch, please don't be rude if what I wrote is dumb ^^'
Wow, 500 ilvl, that's amazing, takes me back to WoD and Legion. I still miss my Legion stats.
Yo'ure still gonna want to upgrade the cloak for extra ilevels as well as sanity resistance so you can equip more powerful corrupted gear, so no reason not work on it.
Some things I get. Pet battles was a good example. But when it comes to people who flat out don't want to do story quests or open Nazjatar I struggle to understand why they like this game. Gearing and grinding to get a competitive edge is at the heart of any MMO and certainly has always been that way for WoW. It's become significantly simpler in recent expansions - and it just feels like people want even less to "work for" because that distracts from whatever it is they want to do -- but if you want to do end game progression shouldn't there be a bit of work involved to play at that level? That's any MMO / RPG, the prep work and grind is important - not just showing up and beating your head against a boss until it falls over. Certainly not every complaint but some of them just really feel like a lot of "hand everything to me because I can't be bothered" which I don't think is helping the game either. People don't want to do a few quests and literally one horrific vision to get their cloak unlocked before stepping into a raid?
cloak bandaid #752 the only thing that hasnt changed about this cloak is its ugly looks
"You get a Main Stat Proc for 15 seconds at Rank 13."This is still a thing? I thought that went away.
