Again, it's thirty dollars total cost once you count the 4 months of gametime your main account receives.
I miss the Legion order halls gold machines. That’s how I got nearly all the recruit a friend mounts.
But I am still doing it - you?
I'm sorry, but as stated here it is more complicated than it needs to be.
Well, I can see why they nerfed it, because $30 is cheap for all these cosmetics and any subscription company does not want eleven accounts of churn (cancelled subs) for each player who does this.I totally would've done it, though. If they offered a cosmetic set like this for $30-$40 USD most of my friends would probably buy it. As it is, we don't know anyone who wants to play WoW but doesn't have an account, especially since Classic just got everyone we've ever known who has played WoW to resub for at least a month (and thus became ineligible for RAF).Moral of the story: We want to give you money, Blizzard. Please let us!
this new recrut a friends should be illegal, it's just a ponzi pyramid or Pyramid Schemes , a scam.
How to spend more money for mogs/mounts/a pet that should of been tied to an Archaeology questline.
More wowhead shilling for Acti Blizz. I use to respect wowhead, too.
As much as I would hate myself for it, I would totally buy the transmog set and at least the airplane mount if they would just sell those separately. Ultimately, I don't give a damn about Blizzard's subscriber numbers, I just want the items they are offering without finding several people to purchase and subscribe to WoW.
1. I'd rather just write a check for $180 than go through all this. 2. If I use my main account (Acct #1) to recruit a new acct (Acct #2) and just wait a year, will I get all the rewards this time next year? Frankly, I'd rather just do that. This is too convoluted.
why dont they put the items in shop too? :/
Agree with this, considering the theme!
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
This was never about recruiting actual friends in to the game. It was always targeted at existing players to recruit themselves and accelerate the time frame for the rewards.
Hmmm..Nope, I don't think I will.
I'd rather wait the 12 months on just one extra account. Cheaper and a lot less hassle xD
Recruit-another-Account 3.0 I've done that in the past, to get the Nightwing (before one of my characters in main account got the Vial of Sands, way back in the day), but it is a very expensive 'workaround' to get those rewars. Also, even if you bring new people to the game, there isn't sure they will stay long enough. Also, instead of promoting to all 4 winds about RaF, in the way they (and fansites) do, they should make the prices lower when veteran player invite new players instead. If I'm not mistaken, RaF, can be used on 'expired' accounts too, right? So Blizz, and players should promote these, and brand new, players to join the game, by the Recruit links the veteran, with already active accounts, can generate. That way, let's say, they could have some discounts in the shop, for example in the first months of subscription, then, if they liked the game, they could continue paying the regular price.Blizz can do this and have even bigger income as those (real) people could stay longer.
