I never understood what people see in Classic. I hope it doesn't influence Shadowlands and future expansions too much.
All good things, it seems.
After discounting subscription counts for years now as not being an accurate measure of the health of their IPs, it's strange to see them suddenly acting like they matter again. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand why they do it, but it does make me wonder how much weight to give any of this data.
Blizzard, 33m monthly users.Activision, 36m monthly users.King, 247m monthly users.Mobile games might be anathema to a die-hard video game player, but they definitely bring in the $$.
They see not only nostalgia but more of a MMORPG than a MMO-Casino. I really hope classic does influence Shadowlands in terms of classes being more fun and unique while also having more game play options
To answer those who are mentioning the possibility of Classic influencing Retail WoW: we're most likely seeing that already with the way Shadowlands is looking to rework the leveling experience to make it meaningful again (like how it is in Classic).Having said that, I think that type of influence is probably the furthest extent to which Classic will influence Retail WoW. While they are looking to bring back more of that RPG feel to the game (which was surely lost sometime after WotLK), I doubt they will be looking to bring back things like weapon ammunition or reagents etc. (which in their original form were mostly just inconvenient, and are not necessarily needed in order for the game to feel more like an RPG again).
Blizzard doing good, I guess we can see more layoffs in the coming months.
except the games
seems like a bunch of lies to me. in my experience out of 58 friends that started playing classic, only 2 remain playing that @#$%ty game, and the rest came back to retail, even tho retails sucks too, but not as much as classic.
Angel I am interested to find out about this. Where did you find this information about the falloff from Classic.
