Definitely a sensible decision
yeah maybe one day we'll temporarily be able to communicate across factions, but if we go too far down that road, i'm not sure how it would all turn out
Thank god for that! im glad blizzard have some sense and dont listen to the pathetic ideas of this comunity
It makes sense. The factions have been a part of WoW since the beginning and I do not see them changing that anytime soon.
Thrall: “What’s different this time?”Jaina: “We are...”*tender music stops abruptly as Jaina touches her ear*Jaina: “Wait, I’m being told that nothing’s different. KILL THEM SHAW!”
Not sure where this would have left world pvp. So a good decision imo
No a fan, was looking forward to a 'loosening'
It's not in the cards? Well, put it in the cards then Blizzard?
They would lose so much money if they allowed you to play crossfaction
Not able playing with another faction is not a problem, but sever faction imbalance is. If nothing will be done, the situation will only become worse in a time. Like a problematic teeth that should be cured. Or extracted if you miss a treatment period.
They won't change it cause they make money from xfaction transfers
I know many people want it, but I think the factions need to stay separate, and I am ecstatic that they made it sound like they will remain separate. There should always be a little bit of tension between the two. Horde vs Alliance has been part of WoW since the beginning and it shouldn't end. If it did end, how would all the old content be handled? Am I going to be a human doing Horde quests and going and killing mobs that are friendly to the Alliance? If you want to play with friends from the opposite faction, one of you get a faction change or roll an alt on the opposite side. If you want to play an MMORPG without factions, go play FFXIV.
We all knew this was the case and the reasoning why is that they are the backbone of the entire franchise. It was really only sites like wowhead wanting more clicks that kept speculating it.
So how do they plan to address the imbalance between Alliance and Horde population, and specifically how it affects Mythic raiding?
Good the original intent should not be erased.
Lore and 15 years aside, me and a friend of mine as deeply anchored Alliance players on a german server were forced to switch to Horde to find people who are playing M+ intensively like us. It's a shame, that you're forced to a side, if you want to play on a "higher" level on german Servers.I don't know, if other regions have the same problem tho. I'm pretty disappointed with this decision.
Ending the never ending war of what warcraft makes warcraft will be the end of the franchise, we can have moments of peace but war is what the franchise is all about.
