Considering the sheer level of angst there was over Benthic items being too good and outclassing mythic items. I strongly suspect that Voidforging will random powerful effects on par with Benthic gear. But I never understood the inane qqing over titanforged gear. It doesnt happen that much, and mythic raiders will have far easier a time of capping out with far more items.
I hope its a new system that rewards you an item with shadowforged with -25 ilvl lower than expected.
The screenshot opportunities will be many!
I disagree. Doing the hardest content should only yield slightly better loot. The reward should be the satisfaction of the challenge itself. The gap between LFR and Normal should be +15. Heroic over Normal is +10. Mythic over Heroic is merely +5. That's right. A lousy +5. Will this disincentive doing Mythic? Absolutely. That's the point. You shouldn't get to then go into random BGs and faceroll just because you're a person with probably few life responsibilities who convinced 24 more people to join you. I'm fine with adding raid-zone-specific buffs, like Benthic and Reorigination Array. Doing just M+ or just Rated Arena should be alternative paths to the pinnacle of excellence. I'm fine with Mythic Raiding have a slight edge, due to the burden of the "HR logistics" involved, but +15 is too much. Stop putting raiding on this Holy Mountain, towering above all others, just because other people enjoy the game differently, even though they're every bit as skilled of a gamer as a raider is.I will agree Titanforging is too extreme. Looting should have a small chance to reward currency, but then at least you get some choice on how to spend that currency for upgrades, rather than being at the mercy of the loot table. I'm fine with keeping Titanforging around exclusively for LFR. Some lucky drops might give someone a push to try out Normal raiding, who usually doesn't. Removing barriers to entry-level raiding is healthy for the game. But don't remove Warforging. Make it improbable you will have all slots warforged before the end of the content cycle. Make it nearly impossible to ever truly get BiS in everything. Because as long as there's still that infinitesimal chance for even a little better, there will always remain an incentive to redo content to help people out. If you max-out BiS too early, you'll stop logging in, unsub, and not help others.
I am so happy the entire globe is being attacked not just bfa's zones
For instance I liked how the "elite" system functioned as it was called when it was introduced at the beginning of MoP, where you would get an upgrade for your loot if you did the boss in a peculiar way which made the bossfight harder. > Protetor Kaolanedit: I forgot but back then you could also give some "upgrade" to your gear against currencies (valiance I think ?) up to a certain point (+5 x2 ilvl). It also was a nice thing as it gave a purpose to raid even after getting your gear.
Twilightforge. Can someone make good sounding forge related to tentacles.

This is a response to the success of Classic along with the many messages against Titanforging. But mostly Classic and how people used it as prime comparison of why Titanforging was so awful.
I can't wait for it to be even more oppressive in RNG than TF, which honestly is exponentially worse than TF. There was nothing wrong with TF, just newbs complaining about something that did not affect them at all. If its random effects, that will effect them tremendously over getting a stupid TF. People need to learn to stfu when they are clueless about how game design works, shelf your ego.
Because that person gets ONE piece of equivalent gear, while that mythic raider its GUARANTEED, these ppl complaining are just envious tools. This doesn't devalue gear at all, just gives someone a bit of help to get to mythic. Its completely psychological, people are just incompetent.
...I get a distinct feeling this will make some people very upset... and probably push them over the edge.
I understand it is nice for casuals to get a TF from lfr, but why do they need mythic level gear? I think titanforging should just increase the item level to match the next difficulty of content (i.e. lfr TF to normal, normal->heroic, heroic->mythic, mythic->ilvl cap). This can still give you a chance of getting better gear without getting a reward that doesn't fit the difficulty of the content.
