"Lich Queen"?More like... Snape;)
There are no spoilers in the title.
I'll put this one here too, I think.I wonder. Does Saurfang's actions in exposing Sylvanas' duplicity count towards N'Zoth's claim that "all eyes shall be opened".Just imagine if we were being reared by N'Zoth to fight against Sylvanas' master, rather than the void.
We demand necromancers
If I should hazard a guess as to Sylvanas' ultimate goal, I'd say that she wanted to become the Goddess of Death in the same way Elune is the Goddess of the Moon. That would be the only way to truly master her own fate. To become what scares her.In Three Sisters, she says that "they will serve Death, serve me". Also, her other various comments seem to indicate that she increasingly equates Death with herself. Hence, all the bloodshed. It would also make sense from a storytelling perspective that Nathanos "loves" her sooo much. It is something of a classic trope to have a passionate, but restrained man love Death (usually a woman). Just look at Thanos...Her deal with Helya might be about how to do it. Helya was the one who invented the Val'kyr (only to be forced to become the first) and imprisoned the Elemental Lords in their domains after the defeat of the Black Empire (as I recall). If anyone knows the "technical way" to become a deity, it would be her. Sylvanas (as the goddess of Death) would then take Odyn out as payment. He would also be a rival, so that should work out fine.
I only hope that Shadowlands is NOT the new continent, everything else I'm ok with.
I'm actually surprised of how little people are thinking about Yogg-Saron. I will list a couple of points here as to why I think Sylvanas is doing this either out of inspiration or if she's being straight up controlled.1. Sylvanas fell on Saronite, and was very likely corrupted.. same as Arthas (Lich King) was. Blizzard already confirmed this. (Blizzard representatives have stated that they feel the connection between Yogg-Saron and the Lich King ended up being poorly expressed in-game, but added that it "had a lot to do with the ability for mortals to become corrupted.")2. Yogg-Saron corrupted Vordrassil, it's not far-fetched he made Sylvanas burn down Teldrassil in the process.3. On multiple sources Yogg-Saron has many titles, and more than half of them he is named Death. Even in the official Ulduar intro it says "Beneath ancient Ulduar, the Old God of death lies, whispering....".4. The official title of Yogg-Saron is "Hope's End". The word of "Hope" has been exclusively been mentioned through the cinematic, and is something that Sylvanas despise. This ties in a lot with Yogg-Saron.Just a few things I thought of. If anyone can confirm these, or have more info regarding this I would love to read it.
they better not try to throw some alliance character into the leadership of the forsaken.
I would be amazing if Patch 8.3 would contain the conquer of Quel'Thalas als CoT Raid where we fight side by side with living Sylvanas.....
why do ppl claim she hates her forsaken?she tried to teach them hope isnt a thing (and given her view on it and her fate...she isnt wrong) but they cling to it....hope has 2 outcomes:1 is you get what u hoped for.2 is you dont and suffer greater than ever before.forsaken's hope can't be 1st result....the dead can't be returned to life like they want.So technically sylvanas wanting them to embrace their death and stop hoping for what is impossible is a kind of tough love.and her end viewpoint is likely shared with LK's original goal of unifying the world agaisnt enemy (in his case Legion)The world will be unified if everyone is dead. All equal and no differences. no strife. no illness. etc.
