I swear is blizzard trying to get their ideas from the last marvel endgame movie?
So what if the Shadowlands expac rumor is true after all? What If all of these big dead lore characters are really fending off a void threat ? I have to believe there's more to this than just Sylvanas "being evil." There has to be some kind of bigger and better connection with her and Azshara to N'Zoth.
A really great piece that sums up Saurfang. However I do have one nitpick:
Saurfang died, but won the Makgora.I'll miss Saurfang. May he rest in honor and peace.:)For Azeroth!...Will Sylvanas be the next "arthas", or the next "illidan"?
I am glad it's over. Many people were dissatisfied with the war campaign and how it portrayed certain characters and factions as a whole, myself included. This ending, while it does raise questions, is probably the best we could have got.I expected Saurfang to die, but his death still left me grieving. Let's hope that this sacrifise will lead to better Azeroth. Here's to the new world without war.
I really like that Saurfang echoed his son's final words, "Let it be finished"
Hail High Overlord Varok Saurfang and FOR THE HORDE! . Hopefully this neutrality works for a bit to get this mess settled out. I'd expect as stated above that Talanji and Tyrande are very pissed still so something may happen pretty soon.Yogg's puzzle box also has had new whispers for a bit and sends some eerie things while in nazatar and i'm probably going to do some searching around Icecrown and other Old God related places to see if anything else cool is going on.I'm also wondering if Light's chapel/East + West Plague lands will have some action soon maybe light version of 4 horsemen versus the dark but it will just feel like we are caught in the middle and have to tame both sides as we live here and those jokers just want to wipe us all out.Lots of cool speculation can come from this and I'm happy to just be apart of this larger developing puzzle.
Another character they're going to ruin....yaaaaaaaaay.
Am I the only one afraid that Tyrande and Talanji are going to try and declare war on each other? Or end up getting themselves killed? Also, who will rule Zandalar if Talanji dies? The Zanchuli Council? Bwonsamdi? (Ok, the last one is a joke, but still)
So they end up ruining one of my favourite characters in the game. I still like Sylvanas but the way Blizz has written this she is now going to end up as Garrosh 2 ultimately. Unless they build in a redemption arc like they did for Illidan. This whole story with Saurfang is just ridiculous imho - very goody two shoes and all that. In the real world he would have been seen as a traitor for siding and working with the enemy - where’s the honour in that? At least with Garrosh the resistance was internal and not driven by the Alliance. I wonder how Varian would have handled the situation. For all intents and purposes I suspect they are also going to mess up Tyrande and Talanji as well. Anyway... Horde always get the short end of the stick in terms of war chiefs - heading for number 5...
I liked the story for BFA. I wish the pacing was a little bit faster, and I also wish more of the story was told in-game. These cinematics are great, but we don't understand the connection between the Old Horde and Sylvanas's Horde until we read the novellas and Before The Storm. That's who soldiers are, that's who they're trained to be. If every soldier was allowed to second guess their superior, we would have no unity. The Horde aren't rice farmers. Primarily, they're warriors, soldiers. Blood and honor. I like that Saurfang recognizes all of this. That everything he felt had been honorable was just sick and twisted. He was just following orders, but he was the best at it. Paving a road of glory from the literal bones of the innocent Draenei. Anduin acknowledges that even the Alliance has such evils. There are plenty of human and night elf villains in the history of Azeroth. But that's something they need to both get over. Someone's race doesn't define their people. Past mistakes don't need to shackle progress.Anyways, in the end, I liked the story as much as I did Legion's. /shrug People are allowed to disagree (and they will), but to me this was a very warcraft story. I also think it was an experiment on a few things. People loving Sylvanas despite her having been a cold vengeance fueled character wanting only death to the Living (on both sides) since Vanilla Wow. People wanting Faction Conflict, people wanting Faction Peace. It's a return to the state of war in Vanilla. Horde and Alliance aren't best friends, but they'll work together to keep their planet protected.
