I really hope N'zoth isn't the final boss of this expansion. We're killing off bad guys like they are made of foam. It feels underwhelming when everyone the adventurers face dies without any struggle. If they indeed go with N'zoth as the final boss, I hope they do something unique with him and avoid the "kill him off" or "imprison him again" scenarios. How about N'zoth toys with us during the fight and then does some Lich King ending, but with consequences for us. That would be nice, new and refreshing. Build something (new expansion) upon a failure.
I don't feel like Azshara has had a third death yet. That seems like a stretch. While she's drowning in the Warbringer's Azshara, N'zoth says "It won't be long now. Your death is near." This is after the point at which she seems to have lost consciousness.Maybe we'll face her again and see a third death, because, it seems like she was just brought back, once again, by N'zoth. Alternatively, maybe there is an opening of Ny'alotha scene where she is sacrificed.Or someone else's third death is coming.
With that swizzle logic you could say Jaina died because she got a new hair color ... what a jokeOr is it just the Sylvana's fanboy speaking who fears the doom of that !@#$% coming? With 8.2 we will know who the final boss of BfA will be...Yeah well we know that now the last horde faction leader stands against sylvanas and that he is off to prep for the battle with saurfang and the others whilst hoping that the BE will stand with himSylv died a real death as a living HE and was turned into a bansheeSylv killed herself - saw and experienced the horrors of hell and bargained to be brought back to lifeSylv didn't die again afterwards as every time one of her valkyr took her place in hell for her.Sylv's 3rd death will come with 8.3 and the Forsaken were already set up to gain a new ressurection/spawning source with the light. Hell they even went out of their way to prepare a replacement faction leader
A few points...People above are saying Azshara has died twice instead of three times like the wowhead analysis suggests. I am going to go a step further and say that I didn't see her die in the warbringers video and I believe she has only died once after the players just defeated her in the raid. Is there any other writing that suggest Azshara has died before the raid?Secondly, I think there is a healthier relationship between azshara and nzoth than what the article suggests. She willingly took up his bargain. She willingly lured the horde/alliance into the raid. She willingly died and gave her life to free nzoth. If someone did all that for me, I wouldn't shove them into a dagger. I'd resurrect them and put them at my side.Thirdly, it seems to me that Sylvanas is corrupted by Yogg Saron after she suicided off ICC onto the saronite rocks. I think Yogg has been working through sylvanas to help free Nzoth and in turn, be freed by nzoth. Nathanos knew what was to happen when he lured the horde and alliance out to sea. It proves Sylvanas is in league with Nzoth in some way.
A pact with a primordial being is eternal, not even dead can shatter it.Now she has just realised who got the best part of their deal. Her eternal rest has been denied. There are worst things than dead, soon more shall share her fate.Once they open their eyes, it shall be too late to turn back.
There's no way she died. Her eyes were open when N'Zoth pulled her out of there. I really hope she didn't die. She deserves far more than just being a 1 patch end raid boss. She could easily have her own expansion.
I will be immensely displeased with this shoddy story, more so than I already am, if that's it for Azshara. Such a shame her time to shine came in such a terrible expansion under such terrible writers.
tl;dr, but concerning Azsharas three "deaths": That sound pretty farfetched, considering:- She didn't actually die during the Sundering.- Her bargaign with N'Zoth took place during the Sundering. The Sundering is the reason she took the bargaign with N'Zoth. It's the same thing. And again, she didn't actually die.- The Eternal Palace actually sees her die - for the first time.Even if you want to stretch things and say "oh its not literal, it was a metaphorical death because her "life" as a night elf ends and her "life" as a naga begins" - that still leaves the Sundering and the bargaign being the same exact thing. No matter how you twist it, the Eternal Palace wasn't her third death.
The Final BFA Raid will be in Mulgore as we defend the Tauren from the Banshee Queen.
My comment was on-topic, you idiots. You still haven't even changed the article title. Why do Wowhead's writing staff have such a problem with not posting blatant spoilers in their headers? You guys do this all the damn time.
I took Azshara's facial expression more as shock than fear. I'd imagine a rush of old god juice to pop you back to life would do that.
there is only 1 question for Azshara "what Nzoth wants from her now" For Sylvanas, many questions left... Like who spoke to Vol'jin? Could it be N'zoth? nathanos uses Xal'atath like a tool to know where to go, is not even shocked by pillar of light, we could even think he is smiling (as intended so?) They were exactly over nazjatar where azshara did awaits them to trap them... Azshara repowered as final boss to allow Nzoth getting more time to revive Yogg Saron and C'thun maybe, but... a little too much kaelthas effect (even if it would be less surprising than kael thas... )Lets see if a 8.2.5 with some stories come, and what will be revealed. i think Ion was a little too much in "hype generator" with what he said...OR maybe... Nzoth took back azshara body to do an even more bigger ennemy : take the soul and body of Kael'thas. infuse them with azshara power. BECAUSE YES... from the begining, kael thas did as Nzoth asked him to do... ... no? :x
what if Azshara has only "died" twice and the third time will be the raid at the end of 8.3?
