I've love it.
That's pretty cool actually!
This was actually available last build, but glad to see it's reported on. Much more flavorful implementation of the racial.
Those shrines have been there forever though as I remember since release. And with every Loa you save throughout the questlines in each zone earns the horde players a new loa buff.
These are specifically for the Zandalari Racial ability. It's how you choose which one you have active.
I don't mind the shrine thing but the 5 day cooldown is stupid and I hope changes. What if you switch between tanking healing and dps, more then once every 5 days and who is going to use the 5% movement speed if your stuck with it for 5 days.
Huh so that means my fresh lvl 20 Zandalari has to take the Echo Isles boat and go to lvl 120 content? Interesting idea, kind of weird that level 20s have to go to content 100 levels higher than them but I guess as long as there are no baddies nearby, no harm done? Unless all those hostiles in the harbor area will be a problem...?
Does Embrace of Gonk seem kind of lackluster to anyone else? Yeah-yeah, it's movement speed, but he's associated with hunting and druidism and I feel like compared to the Critical Strike, or the chance of extra damage/healing/defensives, it's just not befitting.Maybe give your abilities a chance to summon an Emerald Dream flower that heals nearby allies, or summons one of his children (raptors) to fight alongside you for like twelve seconds or something.in fact, I kind of wish all the Embraces, even if they weren't super powerful, had more flavor to them that felt more befitting their respective Loas.
What, no shrine for Embrace of Jani?
I really wish Pa'ku was something different like, could fall from greater heights and take reduced fall damage. Would make the Loa shrines more interesting and fun imo.
Although this makes the racial more "flavourous", I find it veeeeeeeery clunky. To go personally to the shrines feels totally boring, and that 5 day cooldown dooms some of the loas to the hybrid classes. In the end, only P'aku and Gonk are going to be used.
this is really goodalso where is jani the true loa
I actually quite like this too! To me, it gives a little bit of that Dungeons and Dragons flair.
This should be in addition to being able to do it from the spell book, to add flavor and not get rid of functionality.
Sorry, I'm usually pretty positive about the game (I swear), but isn't the idea of picking a 100% optimal buff for one spec or a 50% optimal buff for all specs kinda what we hate about Azerite gear? Depending on the tuning, you might switch specs from healing to dps for the night and end up basically "not having a racial" for that night, compared to my Pandaren who always gets to pick an optimal buff for the situation.
