I forgot that Chen was involved in Jaina's father's death. Rexxar and Rokhan are in the horde side of this expansion's story, it would have been nice to see Chen show up and support them. Like getting the old band back together. I guess Chen is neutral now though.
*sniffles at Jaina bringing her brother home* ninjas with onions, I tell you.
TLDR but nice text book
Somebody apparently forgot here about few events around Second War, notably the Razing of Kul Tiras by Horde forces allied with Deathwing (event of Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal Orc Campaign - Orcs were after Book of Medivh, kept in the Alterac Keep, and destroying Kul Tiras fleet was needed to secure way to both Tomb of Sargeras and Alterac for Horde troops). Also, Beyond the Dark Portal campaign briefing precisly states that Kul Tiras was no longer a member of the Alliance after main events of the Second War (probably due to Derek's death to Dragonmaws and destruction of the Thrid Fleet). Omnitting those is suprising, as those were very important evens (even though Blizzard apparently retcon... sorry, "forgot" about them while shaping current Kul Tiras lore). Also, there is questline in Wetlands (there was also older, less elaborate version of it prior to Cataclysm) around Third Fleet. Overall, a bit shame that article focuses so much on current, well-known to everyone who care for it, lore content, and isn't touching far more important - for person interested in lore, but without access to many materials (Chronicles, untranslated novels, W2 and BotDP manuals, and so on) - things from Kul Tiras' past.
Dalaran was moved to Northrend first. It then went on to it's brief appearance at Bleakwind pass followed by its current home on the Broken Isles.
And despite the fact that the vast majority of Kul Tirans look just like every other human, the playable character will only have the option to use a different model. It doesn't make any sense.
It's nice to read the old comments on the post about the "kul tiras speculation".
I got the impression that Lucille Waycrest was overplaying the "peacefulness" with which the Kul Tirans moved into Drust territory. It's echoed in Norwington talking about displacing the troggs where his manor is built.
The Alliance: The Horde committed genocide against the Kaldorei! Destroy them! Also The Alliance: The Kul Tirans committed genocide against the Drust! Recruit them!
After the way they treated not only Jaina but also the Alliance emissary, we should have just gone back to the ship and let them sink. Let them choke on their own treachery. It's like half of the damn island decided to go rogue and start worshiping tentacle monsters and stupid ghosts at the same time.
Good read. Too bad the history isn't explained through the game's levelling experience. I had no idea what Jaina's cutscene at the beginning of BFA was about until now.
