Pretty interesting, thanks for posting it!
We'd like to see the discussion about Limit's strategy, so please don't post memes about 2nd and 3rd place and show respect to the competitors. Thank you!
People had been saying that Limit was going really hard on preparing for the raid, so it's interesting that they had that big of an ilvl difference. Their roster is also supposedly composed of more "mains" rather than having many people who could multiclass like Method. I wonder if each guild's respective recruiting strategy played a role in how the race played out. Regardless, it was nice of Limit to release this information.
Bloodlust top strat. IMO Limit strat > Method strat
People were dissing limit for faction changing for that extra 400ilvl loot, method went 100m+ in debt (and faction changed to multiple realms to get more resources as they drained all the resources on their realm) to get all their looting strategy the first heroic week.It seems like limit didnt do enough and method did far more to prep themselves going into the 2nd week (mythic release).
Seems like LIMIT had a lot more consideration for the fight than just "burn the boss".Nice to see this kind of strategy being used.
This whole race is a meme lol. Clearly Blizzard has made the last boss way harder than the others to cause this "Competition". Limit should have placed first, but Blizzard seems to alter mechanics before AND after these races in such a way, to make some bigger event out of something quite simple. I'm unhappy that this American team got cheated by Blizzards shady tactics here to create a bigger esports spotlight, maybe even siding with Method to do so? Please note I'm not saying Method did any wrong here, before you bash my theory laden opinion!
These guys are better than I will ever care to be at WoW, I want to acknowledge that before I say these two things:1) I’m glad the group with the trollish guild name didn’t win. I don’t have time for community elements that look to devalidated my WoW fandom.2) I’m glad a group that openly streams their progress won, not because I have a dog in the race, I don’t, but because I don’t want the game to reach a feeling again where there’s some kind of secret-keeping that works better than straight up skill and determination. Nothing prevents everyone from streaming the race except an ugly feeling that skill is a trade secret. It’s not.Again, grats to these big guilds that can do this, but even though I’m not the kind of player that likes or watches this sort of thing, I like the vibe I got from method much better. It’s the principle involved.
"When Method killed Jaina, they had an average ilvl of 406. At that point in time for Limit, their average ilvl was 402"They said its not an excuse. They still said it as if it had bearing, which they must think it does or they wouldn't mention it. So they do think its a 'reason' (excuse) for not killing it.That guild is Bad.
