is this dialogue the same for both sides? wasn't supposed to be an alternative version of genn's dialogue?
Well $%^&, the Alliance ain't messing around lol! Atleast it's clear why he chose to rather die since the only other way he'd survive is by giving away his daughter as a political hostage :/
Do you think that perhaps Greymane has his own agenda, then? Because for all his naivety, I sincerely doubt Anduin would consider himself anyone's "master." And as you said, he never alluded to Talanji as a hostage.Maybe the Alliance isn't as tightly-knit as we're led to think. Maybe Tyrande isn't the only one working toward her own ends.Thoughts?
I guess there is no hope for a world of peacecraft
im kind of sure its not the same dialogue. alliance side was much different. and he was much more insulting.
He already gave away his daughter to their death loa, along with his entire future bloodline. All to save his crumbling empire and still lost. He's an idiot that made several bad deals for war and glory at the expense of his people and family.Edit: Post was made before the true dialog was reported. Still, the author really wants Genn to be this warmonger that's manipulating Anduin. A token deal? A peaceful surrender is more than was ever offered to him by the Horde, and the Zandalari King went on a 5 minute rant that boiled down to "@#$% your offer." Which, ironically the whole "surrender your daughter" recount from the Horde solider feels like a Freudian slip because Rastakhan actually did sell off his daughter to the death loa in exchange of victory. Diplomacy wouldnt have worked anyway because he gave up too much to give up his kingdom.
I was just doing this encounter last night as Alliance, and I'm 90% sure Greymane has a much more reasoned dialogue.
If you are playing Alliance when you get done with the trash and the RP start s Genn begins with "King Rastakhan of Zandalar.... On behalf of the Alliance, and in the name of King Anduin Wyrnn, I hereby request your surrender". King Rastakhan's dialogue is the same on both sides but at the end Genn concludes with, "So be it. Heroes... you know what must be done".
Master? Anduin? What?
Alliance basically is a catholic Spain in WoW.
Ok, no. This article is full of lies. Nowhere does Genn mention Talanji on Alliance side, which is the correct version of events because you're actually physically present for it and it not being a flashback. I distinctly remember Genn's lines being somewhere along the lines of "On behalf of King Anduin Wrynn, we are here to formally request your surrender.", then Rastakhan's lines stay the same, until Genn's last lines being "I see. I'm sorry it had to come to this. Heroes, you know what to do."Please, before you write these articles, play through it on both sides, especially now that we know blizzard has been screwing with us to show two different sides of the story completely differently, first with the war of thorns, now with this.
Genn taking things into his own hands and making Alliance / Horde relations even more strained? Shocker.
