Read through the comments... Bla Bla Bla about the balance and motive arguments.Blizz and parent company made the move to limit the reward to 385 from 400 to content with the complaints from the opposing faction. Alright, limit the rewards. However, the morning of the change in the reward iLvl, the quest was removed completely and suddenly instead of raising the Horde to 20% for "balance." That smack of something higher up than just a "balance." I'd wager that the bottom line was being disrupted from loss of micro transaction sales. Why spend 250k gold (approximately $50 USD) on a 400 iLvl item when you can just finish the PVP quest? The BoA items are going for a fair bit on the auction house and outfitting a moderate raider with a few pieces of 400 gear can get costly in real dollars if there is no gold farming going on. I do wonder how much real dollars Blizzard was losing on this one quest. I suspect that the quest will never be reinstated because it will erode the company income from token sales.
I dunno, but why not the obvious?Give BOTH factions the i400 incentive for turning on WM. Isn't the whole point of turning on WM to fight each other? WM isn't supposed to be about getting 10% more WQ junk...it's supposed to be the modern version of a PvP server... so give BOTH factions a reason to PvP?Then neither side can complain the other side is getting something they cant and both sides get rewarded for turning on WM.
It's on 20% for EU right of now. That will be another hard week being a horde player. Pull through it fellas, stand and fight!
I'm a Horde main, and I only turned it on to level an Alliance toon...was going to level another but with this now at only 15% it isn't worth it (to me.)
I really think they just need to keep this as something both sides can do. Removing it doesn't make a lot of alliance players want to keep warmode on. Hell, it was a reason I was logging in since the rest of the game is a slog. And I kept warmode on AFTER completing the quest. Not having a reward to make people jump into warmode is just going to keep people turning it off. Watch, next week it will be back to 30 percent and the quest will be back. Just keep it around. The item gets people into the pool and the extra bonuses keeps them in the pool. Removing the quest just means people wont' turn on war mode at all.
I play on both sides since launch, as alliance i always seen raid 4-5 raidgroups of 40 in pvp lfg, on horde side never, as ally i never got killed doing wqs as horde since launch i die 20+ times a day from flightpath ganks
All the Alliance try hard trash are so butt hurt they just spend all warmode not even questing just getting in raids and dropping 40 people to guard each quest spot. So mad they lost their welfare gear. What really sucks is this gave the Alliance, like the worthless traitorous filth that is the guild "Limit" (faction changed for 400 gear reward) a head start on mythic Daz world first race. I hope Method still smashes all of the trash that is competing against them.
How about you just simply change the quest to doing for example, 50 world quests with war mode on while not in a raid group? Make it a weekly quest for both factions. That way whoever wants the gear/conquest has be opted in to wm for a decent period time. Thoughts?
