Huge thanks to Blizzard, the panel and ALL OF YOU! Had a blast up there. Special thanks to this guy for agreeing to my little cameo idea. :) pic.twitter.com/8E7FAdtJNj— Scott Johnson @ Blizzcon (@scottjohnson) November 4, 2018

Well... if it looks like a fish, smells like a fish, sounds like a fish... itisprollyafishyaknow. One thing I learned from the Burning of Teldrassil drama, in which in got very involved and really angry: sit back and enjoy the game. I wont be able to change anything about the story and... boy that is great. What a crappy game this would be, if they actually took the playerbase opinion into account on their story-writing. Anyway... what I would love to see at this point - after playing both storylines - is a Jaina saving the horde somehow as opposed to her being all mad about her former allies and chasing Sylvanas off the courtyard. She would make such a great villain. One even bigger than Arthas was. Yes i said it, Sylvanas is becoming bigger than Jesus.
I don't think the new Thrall would make a very good Warchief. He's not the same guy who led the Horde in Vanilla-Wrath.
Kill Anduin and raise him as the Puppet King. Easy enough. Put a leash on his dog Genn and have him bark for table scraps. Strip Elwynn down to the roots and salt the earth. Use Saurfang’s body in the construction of an Abomination and have it butcher his followers. Show the Alliance and their lap-dog their place.
War Chief Zekhan sounds good...(with Saurfang and Go'el as advisors btw)My prediction is a scene with Saurfang meeting up with Go'el (Zekhan is behind him being Zekhan and not listening to them), then they talk about Go'el coming back, but he says he has another life now (pans to the kiddies on the floor playing, and yes this would in fact honour Chris Metzen's family life very much), then they both look towards Zekhan with Saurfang asking "What about him?" and he gets typical knowing nod from Go'el. Then Saurfang and Go'el walk to Zekhan and each slaps him on the shoulders jovially, and when he looks up surprised as the Orcs, Go'el says: "Our work begins..."This is my mind could be what Chris Metzen might be involved in. There's a traditional "Soon™" for Zekhan who might only become War Chief in 9.0 but this short and rather a sweet scene could set up one of the best "passing the baton" moments that also in some way echoes what happened at BlizzCon 2018.And yes, I miss Chris Metzen's bellowing start of announcing the next expansion but he's happy in his new "dad role" so no one should force him to return except for "guest appearances" such as the one suggested above, and in a way that would make them more epic...And as I have one horde character, my horde character is all for War Chief Zekhan. :-)Edited to add that I don't think Sylvanas is going to be Garrosh 2.0. More like a more clever version of Fandral Staghelm. She'd go with Nathanos and all loyal Forsaken (which ain't the player Forsaken who rally to the cause presented by a future War Chief Zekhan) and she becomes a thorn in the side of both Alliance and Horde (the Lost Honor cinematic hints to me at least that this can happen). She's in this role, perhaps with Xal'atath as an unexpected ally (based on the weapon Sylvanas holds in the presentation). And I think she'll be this enemy of everyone for at least 9.0 and 10.0 expansions at a minimum. Or at least that's what I'd want to see...
Sounds for me like the wowhead guys are really mad about Sylvanas.Probably alliance Nelf players. How they wrote this, it sounds for me like they have a personal problem with Sylvanas.
Well I find it highly unlikely the Dark lady will die. No dark lady means that potentially forsaken and Blood elf defection from the horde, and it would be a major plot hole to clean up. The reason why I state this is because the horde power in Eastern kingdoms would drastically drop from Sylvanas dying, blood elves are prideful, but I doubt they would allow the Alliance to march on Silvermoon, as from the current blood-elf leader it is really clear that they are still really afraid of a second fall of Silvermoon (with his rather passive maybe even frightened personality), especially now that they have started to regain their lively-hoods it would be more likely they try to rejoin the Alliance as the blood elves have suffered a lot.As for the Forsaken, there are probably quite a few who want to defect, but are dead afraid of their own leader (hah pun) especially after the events of the forsaken / human family meet ups. Another thing is all the freshly risen forsaken possibly having their minds played with to be serving the horde, I personally don't see a night elf throwing away Elune without some sort of mind alteration, even with the fall of Teldressil, the night elves have experienced much, much worse events in their history and still remained loyal to their goddess Elune, even in death the night elves within the Tomb of Sargeras still worshipped their mother moon. Also negative leader or not, the death of a faction leader with in horde could easily destabilise the horde, while the Highmountain Tauren and the time travelling orcs are loyal to the horde due to their distant cousins, the Nightborne, are another example of a race a defection could occur from. Although it was made obvious that they have some beef with Tyrande I would assume the Moon elves, wouldn't risk their faction being potentially damaged again by poor choice of ally, they have after all, already made this mistake once and the alliance although currently apposed, would not reject a faction that is seeking unity, or allies that compliment them. The other thing is, just how powerful is Sylvanas on her own? Due to the presence of the valkyr it is arguable that she is potentially not unleashing her full power, She is the banshee queen, and was both in life, and in death notoriously hard to kill, up until the end of Arthas. The scariest thing about Sylvanas is the fact She will do anything to save Her people, She much unlike any other faction leader already goes to the length of disrupting the natural balance of Azeroth to save her people.Mostly just my speculation but if Sylvanas dies, the plot gymnastics better be interesting...
Helll yeah Sylvanas wreck this world.
If Thrall returns to the throne, then so shall I return to the game. No longer felt immersed continuously following her orders and being forced to continue that awful war campaign would break my immersion even further. We are the Champions of Azeroth fps, we should be able to choose a different, more neutral storyline if we are not happy with the current factions leadership, and I hardly doubt my character would be happy to be fodder to be raised as a mindless skeleton in the future, wasting all potential to "save Azeroth".
this was just brillant
Something is gonna happen. They can't so this mad warchief again. There is a twist somewhere and it has to do with xal'atath.
I vote for Chris Metzen as a warchief :)
Only way I can see Sylvanas not being killed off is some kind of reveal that she didn't actually do any of the things people want to kill her for. The old "hey a new threat is there, lets be bygones be bygones and work together" won't cut it anymore.Maybe something along the lines of: The real Sylvanas has been absent since the end of Legion, all this pointlessly evil moustache-twirling was actually Xal impersonating her and leading the Horde in her own personal vendetta against N'zoth (and the rest of the world, I guess).Hence the Void wants to kill her. I guess there was a reason the Old Gods put her in a dagger.During "Sylvanas'" boss fight, you get drawn into the dagger, discover her "soul" (as it is, because lets face it she was never a nice person). Then you help her free herself, defeat the evil knaifu and restore the rightful Warchief to the Horde. Saurfang swallows a humble pill and comes crawling back, to make sure this time the Horde actually has some honor (instead of happily going along with everything, and then bailing). Sylvanas fanboys rejoice, "honor" fanboys get thrown a bone. Then maybe in another expansion or two they can focus on the Alliance a bit.

story so far is meh... we have seen this before , i will be very disappointed if outcome will be the same as well. Anduin coming to Saurfang 'if you fail to uphold your honor, we will end you' end of story...
Saurfang is the true Horde leader :D
While i respect what he did for wow,Metzen asking wheres thrall is a bit rich, considering he played a hand in writing him out of the story and the last thing he worked on before going was the battle of lorderaon.
I loved Metzen showing up. I miss his unbridled positive presence when he came on stage. That man could hype a rotting onion, holy crap. I hope there's something new in the works with Thrall, doesn't have to be return as Warchief, just something new. Yea, people are tired of him because of all of the attention he had gotten in the past, but he's what made the Horde what it was. He went AWOL after losing the Doomhammer, basically, and we haven't seen him since. Especially since he was originally supposed to be the NPC involved with the in-game Vol'jin stuff. Lame.
