Burning Teldrassil was the stupidest decision conceivable. Had she kept them hostages, the Alliance would be unable to make moves against the Horde. But she went on to burn them solely because she thought that'd take away their hope, and that taking away hope is better than hundreds or thousands of hostages.Either she's an idiot or her main objective was not getting an advantage for the Horde, but $%^&ing with the Nelfs.
Genn's anger towards Sylvanas is justified by her invasion of Gilneas. Should he have attacked in Stormhiem? No, but she shouldn't have invaded Gilneas either. And it is a feud she started. It is also hard to come down on Genn and Rogers when Anduin was told about what and why Sylvanas was doing in Stormhiem. Kinda hard to punish someone when the actions taken resulted in saving Eyir and denying Sylvanas the Val'kyr. And these were not Val'kyr that offered her their help. The entire attack of Teldrassil was foolish from a stand point of trying to protect and secure the Horde. Such actions as Teldrassil always spawn vengeance (see the invasion of Gilneas and then Stormhiem, She now has the Worgen and the Nelfs pissed at her). Remember the Nelf army and Navy was lured away so the fighting forces were still intact. Sylvanas' every action simply unites her enemies and alienates her allies. It is no wonder some "shadowy presence" duped Vol'jin into appointing her as his successor, why destroy the horde yourself when you can have Sylvanas push the Alliance into doing it for you. Not to mention that every horde leader was just shown to be stupid for allowing this to happen. And remember even Garrosh was put off by what Sylvanas was doing in Cata.
Slyvanas is trying to break the Alliance's will to fight, specifically the general populace, as opposed to the military. The main point here is that Sylvanas is trying to win a war and she's approaching it from a very calculated "ends justify the means" mentality. She has been absolutely brutal, and definitely committed war crimes, as we define them in the real world, but all of this has been to attempt to break the will of the Alliance to wage war.As far as Garrosh 2.0 goes, I'm not seeing it. Garrosh implemented Orcs as a higher status class in the Horde. There were the equivalent of slums in Ogrimmar, and he even tried to assassinate other faction leaders inside of the Horde. All of these things caused friction within the Horde.Sylvanis on the other hand, is doing everything possible to win a war, and crush the Alliance's spirit. She has not succeeded in doing so yet, and the Seige of Zandalor is the result. I think it will be fascinating to see if this goads her to even greater atrocities in attempts to break the Alliance's will, and the Horde's response. Maybe we'll even see her banished as opposed to a raid boss.
Looks like the Lich Queen needs to be.... taught a lesson
