Crafted PvP gear requiring pvp tokens which require playing pvp? Crazy concept.Edit: I totally get the frustration, I just don’t see Blizzard intending to make the change, as its obviously a choice made to give options for pvp players who often don’t raid or pve for mats and crafting. I honestly think they should take it another step further and make Marks of Honor a crafting reagent for the items.
I feel really lucky, in legion it was pretty easy to get marks of honor, (several classes had the automatically finish a world quest thing) so I was saving up for transmog gear. I ended up with like 1,200 marks when BFA launched. Now I'm really glad I put off buying the transmog. One think of note, they are Bind to Account, so you can just pvp on your best pvp guy and send them to the people who need them. I was storing them on my Pets and rep toon who is only level 20.
Fishing in BfA is so boring and useless ..
Hell no to any new fishing reputation grinds. There's a reason The Anglers stayed behind in MoP. Fishing reputations should remain in the past.
Re: PVP recipesAt present, I'm just flat out not bothering to level PVP gated professions. I have all your objections to it, plus I primarily do professions for non-commercial scale use and the gear isn't worth the time anyway.Eventually I might level those professions, but I simply won't bother with the recipes. It seems a bit like the pet battle week quest requiring pet battle PVP. Where they get two of the most unrelated activities (crafting/gathering vs fighting other people), and ram them together because... i dunno?.. maybe they think we haven't tried it & would enjoy it if we were just forced to give it a shot? they want us to be well rounded individuals? it increases time played requirements? we should eat our greens?PS. And I don't think it's fair to call those items "PVP items". If someone points me at the full set of crafted 300 PVE items, then we can call them PVP items. But frankly, they're just 300 ilvl gear and only a very limited number have non-PVP token equivalents.
Hi! I'm Kaitelynn, aka Virlomi on reddit. I can't tell you how ecstatic I was when someone told me I made it to the Wowhead Economy Weekly Wrap-Up! I appreciate everyone's thoughts they've shared, both thinking the idea is good and negative. Some of the concerns I definitely understand! Who ever wants another rep grind? Catching 10 fish in a single go with a Cast Net is too powerful! (And it may well be; it was just a number to be thrown out there). All of it was interesting to read and see some of the ideas other people came up with or comparisons with other games.
As much as I like your idea about fishing, it's too good of an idea for blizzard to use, IMO they love torturing the players when it comes to fishing.
I would love for the level 3 recipe Captain's feast to require less fish and meat, say a stack of 5 for each instead of the 15 it's at right now.
complaining about having to get marks of honor a currency that's been in the game for YEARS. especially after they made it so easy to get marks of honors this expac LITERAL babies could do it. PVPers constantly have to do nonsense that has nothing to do with pvp glad to see the shoe on the other foot. most people i know were sitting on hundreds of marks before they made it garaunteed to get.
What still bothers me most is that high level crafted gear is BoP. I wasted so much money on ore for leveling BS, for gear I can't sell or use (I wear mail).Inscription made a huge amount of money in the first weeks with their trinkets, and what do the others get?
I think the fishing idea is great, I told my guild at launch that I didn't understand why they hadn't done this already. However, I think it would make more sense to have a fishing NET instead of just a pole. I don't think it makes sense to fish with a pole and pull up 8 fish or something. But I love the idea, I pass hundreds of nodes because I honestly just can't bother to fish in one when it makes more sense to queue for something and just fish in open water. I think a rework is definitely needed! Great idea!
