Typical non answers by lawyer Ion. More than half of them he just repeats the question in a different way and leaves it at that.
The Allied Race DK starting zone update is "simple", change the zone to be run by the Knights of the Ebon Blade fighting Faceless and other void/old god type enemies, maybe a completely new zone. Have them reviving fallen warriors in the current war and training them to fight a "new" (technically old) enemy in the void armies. Obviously the Lightforged Draenei can't be DKs tho, don't believe they are able to be turned into undead due to naaru influence.
Well said , at least he makes that q&a every month to answer questions good or bad , none else did that in the past .
1. "there will be three spec specific traits on every piece of Azerite Armor in 8.1. This new outer ring will also have no generic traits. There will be more choices, more access to traits you want."This is good folks. Now, if only they would drop the "general" traits from the pool altogether we would have one issue dealt with. 2. "Would you change the Azerite system to have traits be saved per spec, rather than per item?"Ion is accused of lawyer speak so please note he never actually said "NO" to this question which raises the possibility that it may be something they come around to in time or are even talking about behind closed doors.Sadly for now they are determined that we keep a different gear set for off-spec. If, say, only 50% of people are prepared to do this they NEED to keep the general traits for people who won't acquire that second set. Why they don't make the traits savable by spec is beyond me. 3. "Any plans on changing the way to acquire Azerite Gear from Mythic+?They're not happy with how it works but are looking for a middle ground solution. The most common solution recommended is Azerite Armor drops from Mythic+ dungeons but that benefits you only if you spam run Mythic+ and that's a small section of the playerbase. In raids and PvP, Azerite Armor is already limited as you only get one chance per boss/loot."This is kind of bad as it shows they don't know how to fix the problem they created. In the past, however much you wanted a tier piece or particular legendary you could always equip another item in that slot (and those could WF or TF too) until you acquired it, however long that took. Now there simply are no other items you can equip in azerite gear slots so you are not just missing out on chance at tier/legos but on any upgrade to 3 slots. It's just one of the many consequences of the "all eggs in one basket" azerite system.4. "Any plans to make Island objectives more varied?Rewards are too formulaic right now and killing rares for it alone is boring. Azerite will always been the goal, but they're looking to add more unique objectives on the Islands. One new thing in Islands is Extractors which give a slow steady trickle of Azerite."This is bad. Does nothing to address how pointless Islands are and how unappealing farming azerite is as a leisure pursuit. Give them a currency that allows purchase of an azerite gear token but cap how much of that currency you can earn per week. This is a flagship system for the expansion with new quasi-player npcs: it should not jsut be about farming azerite and cosmetic items.
Can't happen soon enough. Glorified lawyer placeholder employee. No innovation, new ideas, zero. Miking the cash cow
Also if tier sets are gone now (so that they can make "MORE sets") how is the raid armor worse now? LOL
They really don't have other people for interview? I'm so sick of Ion and his stupid answers.
Azerite gear that azer...gear there.. we dont care its just item we put when get new better ilvl gear
"What spec and talent changes can Resto Shaman expect?Healer balance is also on the radar. Shaman excel at stacked clumped of people but then you also have your spread out fights. But if players feel that Shamans are so far behind on those types of fights that they need to bring in an undergeared other spec, then that's something that needs to be addressed. Disc is versatile, does more damage and does the same amount of HPS -- that's a problem. They're looking at the Tides of Vengeance patch to update the healer balance."So Ion why the living $#%#$ are there nerfs to swelling streams in 8.1? Talk about a BS answer.
"Right now, the War Campaign chapters gives almost no reputation when you complete them. They'll be adding a large amount of reputation to these chapters. In addition, Horde and Alliance assaults will be available."Thank the Titans! Now just back rep every main or give them a bonus reward for the god-awful grind and non-sensical lack of rep you put us through, because an allied race is nice, but seriously you f'd up your design in the first place. War Campaign with its own Rep faction... no rep for completing the faction quests... what the heck where they thinking?Happy to see this is a change coming, but honestly it should be patched in on the next weekly reset.
nothing for Spriest?cries in void form
