I dont see why so many people cant 'get' this storyline. I dont feel we'd have so many of these bad comments if this were the zerg.Like if we went back to Draenor and found out a "Lich Duke" came from alternate azeroth and killed all the draenei and raised them as the undead and were forcibly converting people into undead because life is weak and pathetic and the only good existence is undeath that people would be going "oh how horrible for the draenei to be such victims. this Lich Duke is bad news and i hope nothing more bad can come from it, we need to stop any evil power similar to this Lich Duke"like...thats literally whats going on. a Bunch of space aliens invaded and corrupted the draenei. This type of trope happens all the time in fantasy with alien entities or undeath or machines, but i guess people cant see that because its a "light religion"
We've seen fanaticism from the Light before, albeit it was pushed by a dreadlord. I like that Blizzard is exploring this side of the Light. Like anything, too much of something is never a good thing, even a supposedly 'good' force. Religious fanaticism is a rather easy theme to build off, story wise. It isn't that big of a stretch to see this occurring by any means, especially since AU Velen saw a darkness in Yrel that was not explored in WoD. This could be that manifesting, pushed by a naaru. It might just be me, but I like that fact that Light wielders aren't always going to be portrayed as good boys and girls.
This is soooo bad. RPers on my server write better than this half the time. Good lord. Sure, let's give Grom a hero's death despite being the bad guy in all of WoD. After KJ's death we're just supposed to accept him as a hero, then gets this "redemption", while Yrel gets vilified. Great job, Blizz. *slow clap* /s
So the Mag'har genocided the Botani + all the other Primals? And dream about building decorations out of the bones of people who taught them to read? Yeah, i am 100% sure the AU Draenei are the corrupted faction in this.I am kind of grateful Blizzard included these lines. It shows just how despicable these Mag'har actually are and WHY the Draenei have decided waiting to be slaughtered again was not the right choice. And no, Draenor does not "belong" to the Orcs. The Primals were there, first....so were the Arrakoa...the Orcs were induced by Aggramar. If you play, for example, the Nightborne recruitment scenario without knowing jack ^&*! about the Legion story, you would assume it was the Blood Elves alone who saved the City and Tyrande did something despicable to them. Yet, if you actually know the true story, Tyrande did absolutely nothing deserving the !@#$ Liadrin + Thalyssra are giving her...and also Liadrin blatantly LIES about the past 10.000 years of Azeroth.I assume it is the exact same with this scenario.
especially enjoy the dialogue regarding face tentacle bonesone must wonder
lolPeople are actually trying to defend the au orcs getting genocidal on the Draenei on Azeroth.Being completely honest, as someone playing both sides, the recruitment for the allied races of the horde so far has just felt... deceitful. Nightborne were fed complete bull#$%^ from the blood elves, high mountain joining their kin in thunderbluff not fully understanding the group they're joining (same goes for the nightborne) and now we have the au orcs getting fed bull^&*! from the horde reps sent to get them.Between this and the complete lack of faction pride going for the horde side of things, I feel I'm going to be spending a lot more time on my Alliance alts. :/
Uh, Gaya'rah, You do know cities are immune to being crushed, do you?
