question do, at any point, I have to turn on pvp and do pvp quests for this (not counting any pvp world quests)?
Well...was looking forward to Dark Iron Dwarves since some people I know wanted to re-roll Alliance and that was the only race I'm remotely interested in.I'm not burning a 110 level boost to make a throw-away character to get the rep to get to the actual character I want to play, so I guess this solidifies me staying Horde. Thanks, Blizzard for making the decision for me! It's one less thing I have to worry about going into the expansion.
I actually just cancelled my preorder of BFA and my sub. I just don't like the direction this game keeps going, not just this. It just seems like a constant stream of a couple things I like, mixed in with several things I don't. I agree with what other people have said. They just do these things to make you have to play (sub) longer. Then you have to level that new toon up and redo everything you just did. More time, more sub time. Or make it faster and pay for a race change or a boost. Then Zandalari will come out and you'll need to do it all over again. Some people might like repeating this crap over and over on all their toons and their new ones, and have all the time in the world to do this. But I don't, nor do I find that fun. People calling others lazy make me laugh. This is a game, not a job. And this game is just becoming too much like a job vs the fun I get out of it. I just get less and less out of each expansion. It's too bad, I love the world. But it was better in WC 1-2.
I didn't mind the exalted requirements for the other races since they came last in the expansion...but I was looking forward to make my main a Zandalari. If I have to wait for that, I'll be left so far behind in the expansion. So I am forced to stick to another race as my main, UNLESS I buy a race change...which sounds fishy...
It'd be easier to complete the achievement wihout doing the rep. Not doing the rep is the easiest way to earn the allied races trust. But I tell you one thing: There will be no gated content for the requirements. I repeat: there will be no gated content for the requirements.
P-people are genuinely shocked and upset about these requirements? Did they expect a 5-quest chain, and done? These requirements are fine.
No way. Why did i bought this...
I don't mind having to unlock the races with a cool quest chain or scenario. It always felt odd that a new expansion launched and all of the sudden we just "can" make new races. Unlocking them via integrating them to our faction felt A LOT more awesome when I did it for the Nightfallen/Highmountain/Void Elves/Lightforged.That being said, I wish they wouldn't have tied them to a rep grind. It wasn't so bad with the aforementioned races because they were added at the tail end of legion, a point in which most of the playerbase had long since reached exalted with most, if not all of them. But having to wait until I'm exalted with these new factions to create the new guys feels like a disappointment. I don't mind having to integrate them to the horde and alliance via a really cool quest (if nothing else, I wish new classes unlocked like that as well, we first do a series of cool quests to unlock the class, then we can make it), but the timegating is disappointing. Not only we gotta be exalted, but we must also complete the war campaign, which I'm automatically assuming, wont be available right off, each branch being unlocked every week or two at best. So while BfA releases in August, best case scenario, most of us wont be able to play the mag'har or dark irons until at least October. And that's assuming we play diligently every day and don't slack off in the least.
1. What we get isn’t even a new race but just some reskin of existing models that every intern in the graphics department could heave done in a few weeks, e.g. something that could have been done years before and released as a goody with every other content patch.2. To get it we have to grind and wait for the campaign to unfold instead of just buy the expansion like we did with "better" (completely new made) races like draenei etc.So basically, we get less reward for more work. Can someone explain to me how this is so much better than what we had before? Not that I mind that rep grind very much or that I don’t want people to get the races they waited for, but I really don’t get why every decision form blizz that puts us players in a slightly wore position is always declared to be the best thing since sliced bread arround here.
