This is getting more funny with each turn. Nobody ever said Sylvanas is innoccent on anything this is about who shot first. Mining operations are officially a war crime deserving of death penalty now. Biggest joke of the century. If a secret service starts to kill americans iron miners somehwere in Texas I'm sure the USA would start a war aswell. If they found out who did it. This is not a discussion about how hard Sylvanas sucks or "the horde deserves it we are the alliance, we rule Azeroth and we are allowed to do anything that we want!111111" this isn't a discussion this is a angry flame war thread.
I think it could be argued that anything goblins do is effectively an act of war. They will happily lie, cheat, steal, extort, use creative violence to get whatever it is they want. Not to mention that the methods they use are so destructive to the environment that the operation is taking place in as to make the place unlivable for anyone other than goblins for generations afterwards. Admittedly in this case the environment is already trashed, but lets not pretend that goblins are innocent, ever. If these goblins had not been working for Horde interests then both sides would have been shooting at them whilst trying to claim the spoils for themselves and no one would be arguing that what they were doing was anything other than the right thing to do. It doesn't really matter who shot first. We could argue all day long about that. What matters is that the response seems somewhat overblown which makes me wonder if perhaps the goblins were sent down there into harm's way as a way to goad the Alliance into striking at them as a pretext to launching an out of proportion retaliation. Sylvanas may be a terrible person but she is cunning and manipulative and it would not be out of character for her to sacrifice a few goblins to get the Alliance to "shoot first" in order to get the Horde to go make the largest campfire on Azeroth.
Why don't they just give a Wildhammer option to the default Dwarves? Unlike the Dark Iron, the Wildhammer were more or less always in the Alliance.
'We don't want you to feel like you picked the wrong faction'Yeah they completely failed and this does nothing to reassure me, I absolutely feel like I picked the wrong faction and liked the wrong race. RIP Belfs. Maybe 5 expansions from now we'll finally get high elves or they'll let Velfs be DHs and DKs and I can just pretend I'm not purple and have hideous emo hair.
Guys, we won't know what starts the war until June when Before the Storm comes out. We know the war is about resources, but not what actually lights the fuse and puts everyone beyond the point of no return. We know Anduin tries to set up some kind of true peace agreement sometime between now and war breaking out, so something has to happen in there. It has to fail, probably spectacularly. We know that the attack on Darkshore* is the opening move (Anduin reacts to this as though it is the declaration of war he was expecting, when he calls on the Alliance player to intercept the Horde in Kalimdor for the Darkshore/Teldrassil scenario). Everything else is build up and kindling for mistrust and resentment (notice how Stormheim is not mentioned anywhere in any datamined dialog. Something bigger, more relevant is coming).*Or was it Ashenvale? I can't remember...
If any other people want to complain about allied races and whether or not they "feel" like they picked the wrong faction take it to the forums, at least then we won't have to listen to your removed anymore. What started as a perfectly normal conversation devolved into horde fanboys removed about how they "feel" they picked the wrong faction and that the horde is "evil". Jesus, complaints are fine for awhile, I am not saying it isn't allowed. What I AM saying is that repeating the same trash in every bfa comment section gets old and eventually loses its purpose, and if you have been paying attention to the interview, Blizzard explicitly made it clear that they plan their stories ahead of time. Whether or not you believe that is up to you but they have no reasons at all to make that up.So whining about it constantly isn't going to change anything because A: Blizzard isn't going to bother noticing and B: Because they plan it in advance they sure as hell aren't going to change it, what's done is done, suck it up buttercup. I get the criticism to an extent, but when it is nothing but the same regurgitated trash spewed out by the same people online, the complaints start to lose the weight they initially had, which is why phrases like "weeb trash" are considered compliments these days. Saying the same removed things over and over expecting something different is the definition of insanity, learn from it for god's sake.
You don't move armies on the map when a war isn't happening. That the simple mining of Azerite makes the Night Elves launch their entire Army on Silithus should tell you everything you need to Know. And last time i chekced assassination of the head of state is considered a declaration of war even in civilized societies. That's exactly how World War 1 started. And btw. if it was the intention of Anduin to make peace he shouldn't have send Genn with a full grown battle air ship to Stormheim to either catch or kill Sylvanas. This is a strawman excuse.
