I blame the Alliance for this. Don't let the Horde gather a new substance, kill the goblin laborers in Silithis and steal the azerite. Who really started this mess? C'mon.
Blizzard are terrible when it comes to giving proper exposure to characters (or races lol) throughout all their games. They clearly have an intended destination, but don't care enough to make a more consistent explanation and instead just let people get salty and into arguments...It got really tiring before the end of BC, let alone going through BFA. They don't want the Horde to be evil (Evident by their responses to questions on Sylvanas) so we are just incompetent? And before others echo "But the Horde has been evil since Warcraft!" Different. Bloody. Horde. This is the Horde that even Garrosh, at one point, utterly despised the killing of civilians (Yeah, that great big bag of @#$%s). I always felt Orcs and Taurens viewed War in a realistic manner. Innocents die in it... But it is less rounding up civilians to execute and more: Old man picks up weapon to defend family would still be killed, but they wouldn't slaughter his kids. It's a good death to them and one they'd like to have.
I guess we won't have too many elves after all.
I have never been more proud of being a Horde player in my entire WoW life. She lit the torch boys! Four more to go , will Sylvanas score a hat-trick?No! She will score 5 goals!P.S: I hate Sylvanas as a character.I love Saurfang too , but I enjoy and love to see Alliance suffer.Too bad this is an mmorpg and you cant erase Alliance.
1. At the moment it does indeed look like Blizzard is pampering the Horde with Allied races, Loa lore and cosmetic upgrades because they KNOW and expect a lot of Horde players will be disappointed by the story rollout. This is of course just speculation, but it does look like it. I don't know if this is a good strategy....up until ~2 weeks ago (before the heavy dialogue spoilers came in) it was mostly the Alliance #$%^&ing because of Allied races and unfair bias with cosmetics and lore. Which was totally justified from my POV because the Alliance was completely #$%^ on with these features so far. But now it seems Horde players will actually be the ones disappointed more by the way the expansion will go...this will not make the Allaince players any happiers though. I, as an Alliance player, am still pissed we do not get Nightborne, no matter if the Horde are bad again or not.2. I agree with an earlier post that many disappointed Horde players would rather quit (or more precisely: lose their interest in the game over the course of the expansion because they cannot identify with their faction anymore) beforethey reroll Alliance. The same way i, who is primarilly in the game because of the Night Elves, am not sure i will play this expansion through...because as it looks now we will lose absolutely everything Nigh Elven themed in the current lore of the game (even the Druid motive gets watered down AGAIN) with absolutely nothing new to follow up on it after the prelude....and i would actually understand it, if that happens, because Nelfs saw a lot of screentime in Legion and now other races should be allowed to perform...but if that is the plan you do not eradicate a race in the %^&*ing prelude/intro scenario. They did that right on the Horde side: The Forsaken lose their capital as well...but will get @#$%loads of screentime and lore development in the expansion later on.---tl:dr: I think the majority of Horde players do not want to be "evil" warmongers...and the way Blizzard is showing the war so far there is no grey...there is very obvious black and white. Either they did not want to tell grey from the get go...or they completely suck at it. And if Blizzard intends on telling black vs. white AGAIN and make it up to the Horde with an obvious bias in the distribution of cosmetic features...i do not think it will work out for them. They will just get everybody mad at them.
Sylvanas is good! She saw that the Old Gods had already corrupted Teldrassil and that the only way the threat could be prevented would be to... "purge" the tree from all its corruption (>.<)The killing civilians part might be some way to prevent them from becoming minions of the Old Gods...
I just find it so funny, wisps are so pathetic yet so strong at the same time.
I don't understand why anyone is surprised Sylvanas would kill civilians. She's order villagers and farmers killed in Western Plaguelands before. It's nothing new.
How would Shandris know a High Elf from 3 thousand years ago? First, they were exiled some 10 000 years ago. Second, High Elves aren't meant to live that long. Or are we altering the lore further? I mean, Night Elves are "dying of old age and sickness" not even 20 years after the World Tree lost its blessing, and they were the natural ones, but now we get High/Blood Elves living over 3 thousand years, even with magic addiction? They were not even meant to remember Kalimdor. Let alone go there and interact with Night Elves. That part really doesn't make any sense.
Thoughts and prayers for all the angry fanboys and gals :)
Wow, I main horde and this just makes me think that the horde should change their logo to a swastika :|Ignoring the idiots saying "it's just war lol hilarious!" you'd think they wouldn't paint an entire faction with innocent blood when half their fanbase plays it :^)
