And... the offline mode ? :D
Killshot forgot one screenshot with his nickname, fool.
Ohh now that looks promising. A guild presence on something like that would be very welcomed. It is a chore keeping track of guild members on/off the RealID listings, coordinating events and raids, and it would be nice to replace our facebook page.
@Voodik When the option was added to send messages to players offline, I tweeted out a pic including my first/last name. People could know it based on some interviews and work emails, but stressful I just broadcast it to like 200k people lol
How do you have pictures of the new UI? I have Battlenet Beta aceess, but I don't have these features yet.
Blizzard has gone the way of the Discord it seems.Hurrah let the copies roam free!
Is there going to be a Esports tab so we can keep up to date on the latest action?
I just see Blizzard trying to compete with Discord app and Twitch app, which makes me confused since I try to merge friends to 1 place only... but oh well, Blizzard has the capital to make major changes. I would like if they could make so EU, US etc could chat with each other on Blizzard App, without being forced to select region when you log-in.
Stil waiting for Appear Offline
This looks interesting, but I see it as to little to late. I see no reason to change from Discord for this.
group.warning.appearOffline - You are currently appearing offline.Finally :D
I see no pandaren avatars.#dissapointedHopefully they'll add a feature later to make custom avatars from our WoW chars at least, through the armory or something.
So Blizzard tries to compete in the growing social/voice/game app space. What does Blizz-Chat have over Discord (voice, soon video) or Curse/Twitch/Amazon (voice, streaming) and TeamSpeak. Both with Rich Media chat. They are playing catch-up in this arena and they will be short on features. They could provide special in-game integration that the others cannot, but will they be worth it. If it's not a significant integration it will be difficult to win any marketshare.
now this reminds me of slack or discord.
Too bad even if it's decent most guilds won't leave discord and what not.
Perhaps a starting point from going from 4 %^&*ing apps to just 1!
I agree that Blizzard has been been continually and terminally behind in this regard. It seems unlikely they can catch up in time, with significant enough integrated features for people to even contemplate leaving Discord.
