Well they do have a system in place for sending account bound items to new characters regardless of what server they are on. No matter where I go, my Core Hound Pup and Mr. Chilly are always there to keep me company. The Celestial Steed is another example of an item that follows you around. Now granted these items are "consumed" on use, the fact remains that they do have a way of tracking what account bound items you have and a way of getting said items to you on different servers.Perhaps they could mail you a voucher that the heirloom vendor would accept that is consumed on use when you trade it in for the heirloom similar to the way they give you armor tokens for class gear.
I think mail to other realms could work like this:To:__________ on the realm (drop down box with list of servers)
I don't understand why they don't just mail the item to each alt that you make similar to the way that some pets that are account wide pets. I mean, I guess I can hump on each realm that I want the item, but why call it BtA then? Seems like Bind to Server is more accurate. ;)
One thing I think we can all agree on... these guys know what they are doing. I think there really is a technical issue that is preventing them from doing this and it is not as simple as we think.I also don´t believe in the conspiracy theorists who say they aren´t doing it because people pay to transfer heirlooms. That has to be a tiny tiny drop in the bucket of money.
Tried to send cross server and didnt work :(
