personally i prefer my illusionary rod (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=7713) and then i just get my spell damage from the lvl 40 epic pvp bracers (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=19597#z0z) but you could also go for the ZF staff (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=18082#M0z), however it tend to have a low drop rate

I did all quests round the celestial stave in less then a hour i asked some high lvls from my guild and they helped me it went really fast.
this stave aint as quest reward in thottbot and i can't remember the starting quest i got it in Thunderbluff in pools of vision.

Are u ally or horde?
What level are you?
If u are a Ally. Go to the mage tower in SW. One of the Mage trainers will give u the Q at level 30 i think. im 32 now and i did get som help from a 60 palla and it was done in no time =)

Easy: During soloing you can take wich you feel like, in instances the ilusionary rod shines, but in PvP this one is a better option. And by the way, you could also just pick up a new one wich is genarally those two put together. It's called the zum'rah's vexing cane, and it drops in Zul'Farrak. Boss is called witch docor Zum'Rah(surprising, ain't it?) .

I recently got Staff of jordan and havn't did my mage staff for quest. Should i sell the staff of jordan and get an enchant on celestial stave

This is a really good sub for staff of jordan, it might not do as much damage but as a mage you aren't gunna atk with your staff, the only major difference is the spr and like 2 int or something but if your doing pvp this is a lot easier to get than jordan

Blizzard buffed this into a blue, it's MUCH better now. Used to have only 11 damage I belive. Glad I didn't toss it

When you are a mage you get the series of quest when you are lvl 30, so you could complete the series of quest when you are 30.

I got this at 40 and compared it to the Illusionary Rod based upon pure DPS and it far outshined its competitor.

I think this is a solid staff until lvl 42, at which point you need to be hitting ZF to upgrade to Zum'Rahs Vexing Cane. The only other way to beat this for a while is perhaps a dagger/offhand combo, but this one is a safe/easy bet.

However, I still wonder if I should have taken the orb, since there is a good possibility of a better dagger-combo once BC is released.

Im currently using windweaver staff. the windweaver staff has more int but as a frost mage I feel like the celestial I would benefit from more
