Does anyone know what the proc rate of this weapon is and if it still works if a druid shifts into an animal with this equipped?

A competely worthless item. No stats, proc doesn't work in shapeshift forms and damage is beaten by Gatorbite Axe (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=17730), off the top of my head.

Roll for shard, imo.

Is the stun working? Mine doesn't seem to have any affect on monsters whatsoever.

This staff hits like a truck if your lucky enough to get it. Im 48 and happy to have it... till i go to Mauradon and get the resurgence rod

The proc has yet to go off for me. By the time its fixed so it actualy procs I'll be using my Magus staff. (Looks like the SoJ) for higher levels

I recently got this and wonders whether it's better than Blight or not, (note I am a warrior)
The Chief's Enforcer has slightly more damage and stun is always nice.
Blight has it's DoT proc and is already at high weapon skill and enchanted.

Any opinions?

(I'll probably test it out myself anyway but still...)

I'm a level 52 shaman, and I'm gonna be hard-pressed to ever give this staff up for something else. I use windfury on this weapon, which automatically makes it 3 times as likely to proc. Then, with the way I'm spec'd, I crit ridiculously often, it seems... I have had NO problem whatsoever with this weapon proc'ing. If I'm in a combat situation that lasts more than 5-8 seconds, this thing is going to proc. It procs constantly, which is more than I can say for the Shatterer, which I had before this. This staff has given me my first crits over 700. So, the ability proc'ing aside, if my windfury procs and I get two crits out of those three attacks, my damage usually averages, in that one strike, 650, 600, 275 or so. Of course, it varies a bit, but it happens often enough to keep me happy. And when the weapon's ability procs in pvp - omfg, it's pretty much game over for my enemy. I'm also carrying a Resurgence Rod and a Dawn's Edge, but I like Chief's Enforcer so much that I almost never switch out. In short, this weapon is so good and so much fun it should be illegal. Heh.

I am a MS warrior , and this thing kicks ass ^^
i am gonna use it up until i can use my Stonerave(47), and yes the proc is working now, its freaking osome.

I got this staff as 48 warrior and it was way better than I was using til then.

It hits very hard on owerpower and MS, but it has two downfalls:

No stats (although high dps for the level plus stun proc)

And no speciality available through warrior talents.

It will last me very well though til I can get one of the weapons from Maruadon (axe or mace).

Unfortunatly it doesn't work in Feral form. I tried it in all 3 combat forms (yes sealion can attack!) and I've fought like 1-2 minutes long with low mobs and no stuns occured.

This weapon is not a good one for Mages/Warlocks/Priests, since it has no stats. It's an excellent weapon for Shamans, particularly enhancement Shamans. I guess Warriors can also roll need on it, but for them there are better choices out there, since they can also equip swords and polearms.

Show me a level 45 2h weapon with the same or greater DPS that's at least as easy to get, and I'll agree. And besides... a warrior would get the most use out of it anyways. Shamans have shocks and heals, priests/mages/locks do mainly magic damage, hunters rely mainly on their bow, I suppose it would be decent for a feral druid if the proc worked... but honestly, this is one of the only good warrior staves in the game. What are the others? Why, I'm so glad you asked! Ironshod Bludgeon, Bludgeon of the Grinning Dog, and maybe a few others, despite more caster-ish procs. Not a wide variety, eh?

It has upsides and downsides for all classes and they are all pretty much the same: no stats as a downside and the great stun proc and high dps as an upside. It seems to me that warriors, hunters, shamans, and (maybe) druids should all have an equal shot at it. Just let the roll decide.

I think this should go to Shamans first, even though they have damaging spells. Warriors would probably be next, even though there are better weapons out there.

I think I heard a rumor that procs were gonna work in Feral forms, and if so, 1.00 speed + stun proc = cat stunlock

Real good staff for warriors the proc rocks the stun takes away atleast 1 attack from the person u are fighting it stops casters from casting only bad thing about staff for warriors is having too train staffs up.

I scored this helping out some peeps last night in ZF. I had staves leveled up already which was nice, 'cause when I whipped out my big stick I got some really decent crits with it. I was actually shocked at how well this weapon serves up damage and until I can use my , I'll probably be using this little jammie.

I am a 47 Druid, and just got outrolled by a 44 Mage that selected Need. When our group yelled at him asking why a mage would need a staff with no int or spir, with a stun. He replied "its better than the one i have" --He had the Illusionary Rod...

Can't believe I only Greeded this when it dropped today, because I'd already Needed the Hand of Antu'Sul. The Hand is crap, while for a Moonkin druid this staff is breathtaking! Cast, cast, bash, bash, etc. Health getting low? Oh, a nice stun interrupt to give me time to change and heal.(Oh, I won the Greed roll, didn't give it a second thought, and it was 4 hours before I discovered this sitting in my bags!)

I am a level 47 shaman on the Crushridge server, and my skill in staves is all the way up to 220, and yet, I'm still hitting mobs my level for 50, 34, 63, etc.. I am just wondering, why is this weapon not hitting harder than Ravager. The Chief's Enforcer is +10 the DPS than the ravager is.

This thing isn't good for any class at all.
Maybe shamans, but att 44 they probably have dual wield. And most low lvl shamans are Enchantment, those not being Enchantment probably have a healing and/or spell damage weapon.
There for making this a useless weapon.

im a lvl 49 taurn shammy ive had this wep since i could and it hasnt failed on me yet ..(enhacnement by the way) ive found it also very easy in batle grounds i can easily take down a war or a hunter

I'm a lvl 47 balance druid (that means I'm a caster, for those n00bs out there that think druids are only healer or a tank) and this dropped for my the other day.... i rolled greed like the rest of the group and won it... idk if i wanna use it, im currently using Heaven's Light --> Luz do Paraíso aaaand idk if its worth it to switch... =/

Got it yesterday. It looks the same like on the icon.
I am a hunter, and i will try to buy icy chill for the weapon.

Ps. We played n / g system. The group i was with laught at me when i was the only one who said need. So they all rolled for it, i rolled 91 got it and said thnx to them (nice group).
