Nice Polearm for the level, and usually well-priced so that's a plus. Plus lots of smiths make em cheap so they can level themselves to 260. All in all a fine piece.

If you're looking for a mid-40 polearm, Blight deserves strong consideration. It's a pretty good weapon overall, but more importantly Weaponsmiths are eager to sell them at cut-rate prices on the AH.

On the Horde side of Silvermoon these weapons can almost always be found for 15g or less. Folks, when you compare that price to other Blues of the same level range, I'm sure you'll agree that this is an absolute steal.

Anyone who can use polearms should strongly consider using this weapon.

For some reason, this polearm just doesnt seem to sell very reliably or for a good price on my server. I'd be lucky if i could sell it for 10g, which is pretty bad in my opinion consedering i can easily sell a Shatterer for at least 15g, a Phantom Blade for at least 20g, and a Truesilver Champion always sells for at least 30. At the way they're selling now, a Blight just doesnt seem to be worth the 10 truesilver to construct, which could easily go towards the construction of another Champion or the mass-production of Wicked Mithril Blades.

I'm an Armorsmith, and I can make that polearm.. So you don't need to be a weaponsmith ;)

This weapon costs between 12 - 15g on my server although even at that it does not sell well, For a Weaponsmith at around that level try making phantom blades which i'm currently selling for around 40 - 45g each. Easy money:)

Saw like 5 for 9G on Skywall. Bought one and I'm thinking of selling it back if it doesn't work as well as Grimlok's Charge or Diabolic Skiver would for me... I like the looks of this a little and i really like the looks of Diabolic skiver but i don't really like the looks of Grimlok's Charge. Should I use this (43.3 Dps + proc), Diabolic Skiver (42.8 dps + 160-180 dmg proc), or Grimlok's Charge (40.9 Dps + 15 agi. 10 str. 15 stam.)? I'm an all arms warrior.

Actually u have to be 230 BS to become weaponsmith (not 250 as mentioned before). Weaponsmith quets can be acquired at IF near great forge at 225 BS (first make it artisan, then ask trainer about weapnsmithing, then pick quest from the other guy). You have to be 230 BS just because of one of items for quest requires 230 skill to learn/craft it (bought from guy in BB)

I can make these for Alliance on Shadowsong if you get the mats together (just /w Mordini and mention Allakhazam). No additional fee as I think it's still yellow or green to me but tips are up to you =)

Back when I was using it, it procced just fine for me.

Two nice things about this weapon: The ingredients aren't too tough to gather and, if you choose to just buy it, it isn't too expensive. I've seen them on the Argent Dawn Auction House for as low as 15g. (Though I imagine 18-20g is more common.)

Ok First you have to become a Weapons Smith witch you get by leveling up your skills in Blacksmithing, then go to Iron Forge and ask the guys in the middle you want to become a Weapons Smith. CAREFUL the other guy on the left is a Amour Smith which leads you to create Amour.
Ok I Just made mine it requires LvL 250 skill plus a alot of Mithril bars the rest is easy to get or buy at AH.
Now,I had no Training or Weapon XP(skills) in this type of weapon, so I had to train in this with Woo Ping in Stormwind, that little helped there :).
Started to increase my weapon xp and soon I was up to 200's. Great Damge, Proc's often (I love to see the Orges turn Green after Poison Proc.)and is very quick as this lvl. Hope this helps :)

You can't get the plans as a normal Blacksmith. You need to become a Weaponsmith.

The weaponsmith trainer in IronForge will teach you how to make Blight.
But you must be a weaponsmith and have 250 in your BS skill.

I am a 45 pally on Scarlet Crusade and I got blight for 4g. I equipped it and started to use it. Its working well for me. There is only one problem. About half of anything I come up against takes a grand total of 2-30 damage! I was dealing about 200 before then I switched. I leveled polearms to 213/225 and it is still doing crappy damage. If anyone knows what is up please PST Divi on Scarlet Crusade. I would be most appreciative.

I have this with the Fiery enchant you get from the Badlands quest and it's wicked. Procs the poison fairly often and the fire dmg makes mobs drop rather fast. Added to that, I use the Sharpening stones. I picked this over Grimloks Charge for the procs and I'm happy with it
