These are only available to Warlocks as part of the level 50 Sunken Temple quest. Choice between these, Soul Harvester and a trinket.

I dont see why all people choose the staff, i mean, staff = +24 shadow damage, 16 stamina (looks great, but who careS?)

Robe has 1 less stamina, 1 less shadow damage, but also 23 fire dmg and 10 intellect. I dont know but i'd say these robes is the best choice

(Abyss shard if you use voidwalker, else i would choose this one at any time)

Can't change trinkets in combat, so you can only use it to prepare for a fight.. in which case you'd have plenty of mana and shards most likely anyway. If you ARE using this in combat then you should really get your head checked because there are a million other trinkets you should be wearing.

I had a VERY hard time deciding between robes and trinket. Trinket is unique and you will never see anything like it again. But if you break it down all it is is a free shard and 800 or so mana every half an hour.. hardly worth giving up these robes for.

Ah well.. I've made my decision.. I just hope it's the right one :|

OK, this choice can be tricky, depending on what kind of lock you are.

First, the Shard should always be taken, as it basically is irreplaceable and is useful in certain tight spots where you need to summon a VW and don't have any shards. If you are MD spec, you can pull a VW out with no mana no shard in 1 second, to use as a shield or to tank an add that's come upon you suddenly.

Second, the robes are GREAT for certain locks. If you are a smart destruction lock, you want the +dmg instead of stats. Stats suck, +DMG rules. Dreadmist licks compared to this. If you are an affliction/demonology lock, you like DoTs and pets and kiting more than sheer firepower, so stats might be better for you since it takes you longer to take down mobs.

So really, Servitude is pretty nice for Destruction locks at that level, as most of these are epic robes and hard to obtain. These are the easiest robes to obtain and you can wear them until well into 60 for sure.

None of the other robes are easy to obtain. Most are epic, drop in Molten Core, require the Warlock to be a 300 tailor himself, or are very low percentage drops off bosses.

I won't even mention dreadmist since it has no +dmg and is ridiculously hard to obtain off Drakk for how really crappy it is.

I personally use Flarecore Robes, and probably won't ever change, except perhaps to Nemesis if I ever get to take down Nefarion AND it drops AND I have enough DKP for it.. so that should happen .. oh.. never. Until the expansion and I'm lvl 70 and can 15 man him.

The weapon is just good looking, Warlocks should want Rod of the Ogre Magi, ZumRahs vexing cane, Crackling staff, blackwood staff, instead.

The best epic staves are from BWL or the Grand Marshal PvP staff, which is basically impossible for any warlock to obtain, however, the Ironbark staff from Arathi Basin Faction is a close 2nd and is easily obtainable, even though it will take some time to get, it's not hard, and there's no luck or rolling involved. Just takes time.

So, I would recommend the Robes if you aren't going to Molten Core cuz you can't raid, or I would take the Shard if you are going to get epic robes in MC down the road.

true there are better robes for those who chose to raid, but this thing is bad ass. I chose the soul harvester... well for asthetics, but i prefer swords so I'm retarded. The trinket is stupid, and sure theres nothing like it, but seriously for a voidwalker, maybe a felhunter or sucubus, but not a vw. Robes are better than postmasters, necrophile, dreadmist, all of the preraid crap, hell I'm still using robes of the lich due to the scarcity of good cloth chest drops. Robes of servitude ftw imo.

IMO Robes are good for Dest locks, because I have no need for the staff seeing as I have Blade of Eternal Darkness from Princess in Mara with the offhand from the earlier quest, and I'm getting Shard of the Green Flame in a bit anyway, the trinket is a complete waste, first of all, the only time I use my void is PVE Soloing and when I am I have plenty of shards and I have food/water so mana is no prob and the staff only adds shadow dmg =/

This robes are the destruction warlock 's dream.
And for my opinion this chest could be a epic lvl 50 robes. the staff is nice but this are better for all warlocks

if you think about the trinket:
When comes the situation up that you have no mana and no shards? When you nuked something till your mana lasted. And you used up all your soulshards? Come on... In a situation like that you're totally screwed anyway no matter you summon a vw or not.
The soul harvester looks cool, but the stats are just light.
Robe is the winner.

wether this robe is good or not depends on your specc. If your affliction then i would definately take the staff, but if ur destro and love soul fire (like me :p) then this robe is awesome. Im not sure if this robe is good/bad for demonology though i dont know alot about that specc :p

you cant sit there and say any of that is bad. the staff is good the trinket is good and the robes are good. but think of it this way. now that BCs out and everyones 70 whats better, a lvl 50 staff, a lvl 50 robe, or a trinket that has more value at 70 then it did at 50? the trinket is a mana free, soul shard free minion. at lvl 70 (if you're not demo) summoning a VW costs almost 2k mana. so getting a mana-free AND soul shard-free vw is pretty nice. i mean its not like you're gonna wear those robes, or still have that staff at 70. you can always have the trinket.

I'm levelling a lock myself and tbh, I would take this robe over any of the other quest rewards.

Simply because: The trinket: It isn't that great - If you go Demonology you can do practically the same.

The staff: I'm gonna try and get Rod of the ogre magi instead. Which drops in Dire Maul, swap a +30 spell dmg on it and you got a staff of epic quality imho ^^

Robes: You can hope for the Allana's Embrace which is a 0.01% or something like that in Straholme, but wouldn't get your hopes up for that :)

Like someone else said in these forums, grab the trinket.
It really depends what you plan on doing. If you plan on raiding with your lock, got for the trinket...no matter what.

You will lose the Harvester fast, the robes even faster, but the trinket you will continue using. I can think of a dozen reasons to have it from a raid perspective but if you dont raid, you probably want something else. If you do PvE though, get the trinket. ;)
