Indeed, this is found in hoodoo piles in ZG, and is used to harvest bloodvine from herbs in Zul'Gurub.

The Blood Scythe is a random drop from all the mobs in ZG as well as from Hoodoo Piles. As others have said, only herbalists should receive this item.

haha, having these can also add a lot of money to your bags. if your guild doesn't need the bloodvine, you can easily sell them on the ah for a lot of gold.

This item is found within the Jinxed Hoodoo Piles in ZG.
And allows and Herbalist of 300 skill to have a chance to get Bloodvine from the herbs in ZG.

Bloodvine is required in many NR patterns and provide a starting off guild with a great way to gear up their guildmates for AQ.

Bloodvine is usually worth alot too, since it's rather rare and very useful to craft various items.

i won this last night over 2 other herbalists in the guild. i have yet to see any bloodvines though in zg. as far as i know the herbs are used in the different set-pieces or for rep?

All the starting Bonuses gives you 15 / 15 skills this means if chose that path when you start you are going to have 15 / 90 just when u start, at the end, you are going to have *** / 315. PERIOD

This item is only giving you the opportunity to herb some bloodvine, just like the curse of Hakkar allows you to see the shadows.

Some guys keep walkign around with a scythe.
But i hell dont know what item it is!
I think it might be this scythe...
Can anyone post a picture of this one so i can check or tell me what item the real scythe is?

Does anyone know if you have a better chance of harvesting bloodvine off the herbs in ZG if your herbalism is over 300? Im at 300 and Bloodvine seems to drop 1 out of 5 herbs harvested. What is everyone else getting for drop rate?

The blood scythe will go into the new herbalism bags, in addition to the actual herbs. Kind of a surprise to me, as I didn't think "items" would go into that one.

I soloed it today, got it on 4th voodoo pile.

Got 1 bloodvine on the very first golden samsam i gathered. 1 bloodvine of 5 herbs atm.

He didnt say he was soloing ZG. If your a rogue you can stealth your way to the hoodoo piles.

I havge gathered like 25 of those herbs with Blood Scythe in my bag and i havent got a single Bloodvine, can any1 tell me why? :(

I dont know for sure because i dont have one yet but try equiping it, that usually helps

Has anybody figured out the standard droprate on the Bloodvine? I highly doubt the .4% rate is accurate on the flora in ZG. Has anybody checked it out?

Ran ZG with this last night and recieved zero out of four herbs gathered.

To obtain Vinassangre from Herborismo you will need a Foice Sangrenta, it can be found in Amontoado de Mandingas Azarentass inside Zul'Gurub
