Very solid warrior DPS leggings. Great stats, and +1 crit on top of it. Good for any warrior, arms or fury. Not so great for tanking, however.

+30 AP (15 str)
+1.3ish crit (9 agi and 1 crit)
+200 HP

Also, tons of armor on them. Dire Maul is not a difficult instance, and these have a fairly high chance of dropping. Solid gear, and easy to get.

These guys are probably the best warrior PvP leggings you can get and I even prefer them over the first piece of PvP rewarded leggings. Their high stamina and str with a nice touch of +crit% often leaves me wearing them over my Titanic Leggings in PvP. As previously stated, very easy to acquire in DM. I highly suggest attempting to acquire them if you intend to step into the battle grounds.

as a matter of fact there is one item that is worth using with warrior from the valor set: the chestpiece

rest you can screw; both for tankink (lol any warrior that uses valro to tank gives me the freaking willies) and for pvp as well since you dont have any crit chance at all :)

The role of the paladin depends on the player's intentions. We can do decent damage with the right gear, same as healing, or tanking.

The problem is that too many people see them only as one sort, the whole class having only black & white, clear-cut definitions on what paladins are supposed to do.

I prefer to play my paladin as a support class. I don't do a phenomenal job tanking or healing or putting out damage, but I can damn well guarantee that I can bring out more potential in my group with the spells and skills I have. I can tank, patch heal, and put out decent damage whenever my group needs me to step up.

I don't see the point of having mana if I'm only focusing on +%crit/sta/str/agi gear. I don't see the point of not meleeing just because I have mana. I don't see the point of not taking damage instead of the group's clothwearers when I'm the one with the boots that have more AC than all their armor combined. I have these advantages, and I'm only going to hurt myself if I ignore them and focus on one aspect of my class.

Does it really matter if a paladin or a warrior gets these legplates? Do the stats inarguably specify the only class that is allowed to wear it? No where on the description tag do I see "Class: Warrior."

Let me start by saying that my first serious character was a pally. I leveled him to 60. Fought some duals, went on raids, did the whole 9 yards. Long before I rolled a warrior (I discovered that I like melee too much) I realized a few things.

1) I was not a damage machine. Sure I could get some good burst damage, but over the long haul, that wasn't even coming close to anyone but the priest.

2) I was frequently the last man standing, but just lacked the damage potential to finish the job unless the rest of the party beat the snot out of em for me.

3) I could never out-tank a warrior, or even a pet. I couldn't reliably hold aggro on more than one mob, and if the priest made even a small mistake, I only had a short stun to stop the mob from ripping the poor priest to shreds.

After 60 I came to the quick realization that a pally with less than 3500 mana was dead meat in PvP and next to useless in MC.

Since rolling a warrior out I've realized that:

1) Parties go everywhere, even with no Pally and succeed. Even undead areas. Yes the pally is not the irreplaceable cog you think you are.

2)Every party needs a warrior. Its that simple. With a pally as MT the entire party is saying to themselves "if only we had a warrior". Why? Wariors can control more than one mob, and if things go wrong they can get aggro back.

Now I will say that I will always play my pally as a Retribution Pally, because that is my vision of a Pally, a bringer of justice against the wicked, no matter how much Blizz does to deter me. I hate going to MC because like a previous poster said, the pally's job is to buff, decurse, spot heal, and if you get that done you may swing your hammer a little.

Lastly, know this - If you have to heal yourself in a dual, then you are not out-DPSing anyone.

On the subject of the pants....like them, want them. Better get to DM!

I would rather prefer the Abyssal Plate Leggings of Striking that drops from the Duke of Shards. Even though its hardly a difference, I like the extra .41 crit chance to gives. Lol.

Shut the hell up all of you filling up this thread with warrior vs. pally %^&*!

I want to know more about obtaining these, specifically how to get the prince to become an enemy (red) instead of friendly/neutral (yellow).

To get to this "prison" do you have to basically do DM west from start to finish? Where is the prison and what is the named? Can someone verify that all you need to do is kill that named for the prince to be engaged in combat with?

i myself am a fully holy spec pally, and i must say, i don't want those pants, they truly suck for me, as i don't seem to damage allot, can't go grind with my character (unless against undead, cause i have a HUGE manapool) and any pally should know better than only roll need on this except the warrior don't need...
for pally's are not meant to deal damage, we can sustain lot and take possible aggro of casters with relative easy (mobs don't like that hammer of ours) ,
but smae goes for warriors, try being outrolled against a warrior for the grand hammer of the crusader (or whatever name is, balnazzar in strat scarlet drops it) i start saying the ML can't give it to the warrior, and 2 seconds later, he gets it, cause it has 1 DPS more than the axe he is wearing!

true, pally's steal allot of warrior stuff, but warriors should also learn to stay of weapons that give + intellect and spirit, and have + healing adds

anyway, we pally's are not needed in lootruns, we act as druids, we can easily be replaced, but having us along, is damn comfortable

dont be afraid to say it warriors... valor sux! single pieces like this one gives much more %crit, AP etc. PWNS in pvp, and u can get tanking gear also ofc. valor out, random dps gear IN!

I am a 60 warrior but i wouldnt be angry if a paladin rolled on these....because pallys can do rly great dps...
Example: I was in WSG and this pally crits me with a normal hit for 1000+..thats good...so pallys keep it up ^^ :D

this one is harder than dog, it's very hard to tank this guy because he has knockback that reduces aggro.

This guy is in west DM, in the libary. Can only kill him after u clear all 5 pylons and kill the big dog.

These are nice legs and worth a few runs to get but given we are starting weekly raids on the Dukes in Silithus i think i will hold out for the Abyssal Plate Legguards of Striking, 15str, 15agi 15 sta, the extra agi over sta slightly better for the pure DPS.

He isnt hard to tank at all. Did him in a fourman team. Mage DCed. Just use your brain to figure out how to remove his knockbacks effectiveness =)

Oh, and you know.. There is something called Intercept should he run away from you. ;)
