Siege of Orgrimmar: Flex Underhold Open 10/1, New Bosses and Loot
The third wing of
Cerco a Orgrimmar
Flex, "The Underhold," opens October 1st on US servers. This overview covers The Underhold's Flex loot, Dungeon Journal, loot satchels, vanity items, and achievements.
Flex mode does not require players to have a certain item level to zone in, but it does require you to queue with a premade group. You can have anywhere between 10 and 25 players.

Hearthstone Beta: Upcoming Changes
In our previous blog, we covered some of the nitty-gritty facts about the wipe and what exactly it entails. It’s an exciting time for the Hearthstone team, since this wipe will coincide with our first major closed beta patch for both the Americas and Europe regions. Our update covers a wealth of bug fixes and quality of life improvement within Hearthstone, and today we’ll be sharing some of the highlights of this upcoming patch. Many of these changes are based on feedback that you, our valued community, provided to us on the forums.
Daily Quests
We’ve gotten a lot of comments on quests. The community has discovered some fun hidden quests, but some of our daily quests have frustrated those of you who have quests that don’t correspond to your favored class. After the patch, daily quests that require you to win with a specific class will now give you a choice between two classes, allowing you some additional flexibility.

Patch 5.4 Transmog Guide and New Transmog Set Filters
This guide takes a look at all the new transmog options added in Patch 5.4. There's many new sets from Tier 16 (PvE) and Season 14 (PvP), as well as some unique

Battle Pet Hotfixes and Talk Azeroth: Flex Raiding
This week Olivia takes us through some of the recent forum complaints about LFR and Flex. Is it too easy? Too hard? Or have we just totally forgotten what it's like in new tiers? And is Flex taking away all the good raiders?
She also gets into your viewer questions, dealing with last week's responses to the Censer of Eternal Agony, and its issues with PvP flagging on PvE servers. Lastly she dives into the complete farce that has been the start of season 14, with the conquest vendors being up and down like your average yo-yo, the gear issues and the impact on rating.
Battle Pet Hotfixes
We have a few hotfixes to share with you and these changes should be in game now, or will take effect once the realms have been restarted:

are no longer Bind on Pickup; they can now be caged and you can collect up to 3 of each.
Rascal-Bot's
Phaser
spell is now a one-round ability. The tooltip still erroneously states that it is a two-round ability which we plan to correct at a later date.

News Roundup: Hearthstone Beta Account Wipe Incoming, PvP Updates
A major beta patch is coming to Hearthstone soon, and in preparation for that, CM Zeriyah is giving everyone a heads up that their progress will be reset.
This includes gold, experience, arcane dust, and class levels.
Each pack purchased with real money will give players back 100 gold, and each arena entry will give players 150 gold.
There are also no current plans to do additional wipes, so any cards and levels acquired after this wipe will be usable when the game goes live.
If you tested the store before the wipe, you will get after redoing the introductory missions.

Another round of Patch 5.4 hotfixes were posted tonight--not as massive as
yesterday's hotfixes
covering tons of class and Norushen changes, but still important. Some Grievous Conquest vendors have been removed for fixes, and there are additional

SoO: Gates of Retribution LFR Open 9/24, New Bosses and Loot
The second wing of
Cerco a Orgrimmar
LFR, Gates of Retribution, opens September 24th on US servers. This wing opened last week on Flex difficulty--

For LFR, you will need ilvl 496 to queue up and the bosses drop ilvl 528 loot. If you're stuck on how to get there, check out our

LFR loot is personal, meaning you have a chance to receive an item that corresponds to your
loot specialization

Patch 5.4 Hotfixes: September 23rd
Tonight's Patch 5.4 hotfixes cover major class tuning changes, and a few item changes. The
Olho Malévolo de Galakras
was only reducing the cooldown on 5 abilities for Warriors, and now affects
Salto Heroico
as well, and the
Visão Infalível de Lei Shen
now has a 40% reduced chance to activate its effect for Warlocks.
Some ability changes include a 20% damage increase to
Rasgar
, a change to
where the heal-over-time effect is increased by 50% when used on the Paladin (down from 100%), and a 15% damage reduction to
Palavra Sombria: Dor
.
Hotfixes to
Heroic Norushen
were also added an hour after the initial hotfixes went up.

Brewfest 2013 Guide (September 20 - October 6)
Celebrated by both the Horde and the Alliance, the Brewfest is a time to enjoy the fermented fruits of the harvest: pretzels, cheese, and booze! The competing breweries Thunderbrew, Barleybrew, and the Ogres, all come together outside of all the major cities in a bid to outdo each other with their special ales, meads, and beers. Brave adventurers are invited to sit back, take a pull, and sample the finest wares these brewers have to offer!

Patch 5.4 Hotfixes for September 19th: Proving Grounds and Droplet of Y'shaarj
Time for another round of 5.4 hotfixes! Some good news and bad news:
The

no longer drops in LFR--you'll need to do Flex, Normal, or Heroic for it. LFR raiders can still get the adorable
Shazinho Pegajoso
. If you really want the pet, remember that you can use your bonus roll from

Avast, ye landlubbers--it be Pirates' Day! Put on your

and get ready to celebrate in Booty Bay because September 19th is

. While not a full-blown holiday, Pirates' Day still has its very own achievement for the 24 hours day it comes to Azeroth.
In 2013, this runs from 11am PST on September 19th to 11am PST on September 20th, so you could sneak this in too while getting ready for

While you can get a one-hour disguise from pirates throughout the faction cities, the main festivities take place in Booty Bay; here players will find pirates celebrating on top the roof of the Booty Bay bank, including the tribute NPCs

Harvest Festival 2013
The
Festival da Colheita
is a small celebration to honor the fallen heroes of the Horde and Alliance. This year it runs from September 13th through the 20th, transforming the outside of Orgrimmar and Ironforge into feasts. With all the destruction and rebellion in Patch 5.4, now is a good time to reflect on the past and honor heroes.
Festival Foods
Festive tables full with food can be found outside of Orgrimmar and Ironforge, from which players can have their fill of food and drink as they celebrate the memory of their faction's fallen champions. You can hold up to 20 of each of these foods, and they do not expire, so they make great meals for alts!

Honoring a Hero
There is only one short quest chain available during the Harvest Festival, with both Horde and Alliance versions, and you pick it right up where the festival is taking place. boss tweaks, as well as a big quality-of-life change for Flex raiding. The raid leader's Flex progress now determines the lockout, as opposed to the least-progressed member. When killing a boss multiple times in Flex Mode per week, you won't get personal loot from the boss each time, but you will earn
